Thousands showed up to mourn the passing of Mac Miller in his hometown, including his grandmother who was brought to tears over the love for her late-grandson.

The candlelight vigil went down Tuesday night at Pittsburgh's Frick Park, also known as Blue Slide Park -- the name of Miller's debut studio album.

Miller's grandma, Marcia Weiss, was in attendance and spoke on the outpouring of support since the hip-hop star's death. "He loved L.A. but Pittsburgh was his home," Weiss said, adding that of all the places she's been around the world when Miller was performing, nothing can compare to "the warmth of Pittsburgh."

Along with the memorial, fans were signing a petition to officially rename the park "Mac Miller Blue Slide Park."
