Ashley Graham Gets Called Out For Being An "Ozempic Barbie"
By Rima Pundir on August 12, 2023 at 11:30 PM EDT
Ashley Graham seems to have gone fully Barbiecore, at least on social media, and fans cannot quite believe the level of beauty she keeps projecting.
That said, given her slimmer-than-usual silhouette, many want to know, is this Barbie on Ozempic?
Ashley Graham Got Her Barbie In 2016
While the curvy supermodel who gets rave comments from fans on her beauty and body confidence alike was not in the Greta Gerwig “Barbie” movie (why?), Mattel made a Barbie in her likeness back in 2016.
Graham wanted this Barbie to have thick thighs and a paunch, round arms, and cellulite and requested Mattel to do the same. She did get it all, except for the cellulite, perhaps because dimpled plastic was a bit too much of real life for this doll who lived her life in plastic. That said, the 35-year-old loved her Barbie, especially as Mattel did not label it curvy or plus-size, it was just Barbie.
Graham admits that things have come a long, long way since she first got into the limelight at age 12. Back when she was a teen, there was no such thing as plus-size models and nay on the curvier side was mostly labeled as a “catalog model” who did not get covers. Today, along with Graham, there are several models who stand apart, be it for their body shape, skin color, height, and more.
Says Graham, “It is now starting to become more of a norm to see people un-retouched, and to see bodies jiggle, and to talk about the fact that being a certain size, it doesn’t equate to health. Those things are exceptional, and I’m so grateful that the industry finally has caught on.”
Most of her recent Instagram posts have Ashley Graham looking like a life-size Barbie herself but fans are noticing something a little different about her…

Is Ashley Graham No Longer “Plus-Sized?”
Her latest pictures and video in a pink dress have fans wondering, “Is she no longer plus-sized?” Personally, this is a term that Graham hates. Back in 2021, Graham admitted that she doesn’t want to be called a "plus-size" model and says she hates constantly having to talk about her body.
That said, what fans are pointing at is the obvious weight loss and slimmer silhouette that Graham may be sporting because of a new diet or fitness plan. That said, with the Ozempic tsunami sweeping through the celebrity world, one fan asked what many were thinking rather directly, “Rumour has it you are on Ozempic. Don’t deny it. Heard first hand…”
Graham has not acknowledged any of the comments with a reply, although plenty of her fans asked what business it was of anyone whether she was taking Ozempic or not.
The same commenter, who asked the question, replied, “It doesn’t [matter], however, if you preach left right, and center how much you love your body, every curve, every roll, even your cellulite. Why do you wanna become skinny?”
Another fan simply wanted in on the secret, writing, “Always gorgeous 🙏♥️ need the secret to your weight loss girl I need something to give me those beautiful curves you got. god bless”
Ozempic or not, if Graham is losing weight to feel better and healthier, more power to her, say her fans, especially as she identifies with Barbie!
