Jenna Bush Hager is nursing the idea of expanding her family.

The "TODAY with Hoda and Jenna" co-host shares three children — daughters Mila, Poppy and son Hal — with her husband, Henry Chase Hager. And while that number might be too much for others to handle, Jenna desires another baby.

On Tuesday's episode of her Today's show, while talking about her son Hal's recent 4th birthday party, the mom-of-three let it slip that she would be open to the idea of having a fourth child— only her husband isn't as keen on expanding their family.

Jenna Bush Hager Says She'd Like To Try For A Fourth Baby

As earlier mentioned, the former first daughter candidly discussed where she is on growing her family with Sheinelle Jones — who was filling in for co-host Hoda Kotb — amidst the cheerful chatter of her youngest child's 4th birthday celebration.

In the clip, with a touch of nostalgia, Jones remarked that she couldn't believe Hal was already 4, leading Jenna to say, "I know. It's sort of time for me to have another baby."

"Is it time?" Jones asked again. Hesitantly, Jenna said, "Yeah, but..." Her journalist instincts were piqued as she asked, "Can we announce it now?" The 41-year-old immediately gestured to her stomach and responded, "Well, I'm not [pregnant]."

Jones continued to press her colleague playfully saying, "Not now, but I'm saying, do you think you'd [want to have another child]?" In response, a flustered Jenna said, "I'd like to have another baby, but no...," before adding, "You're going too far."

"I'm not going too far," Jones said, undeterred. "Anytime you talk to a woman, and she's [noncommittal about having another baby], it's happening." However, the former teacher's aide insisted that she is unlikely to have another baby to promote Hal to big brother because of her partner. She explained:

"No, no, no, we're not. We're not. Henry put his foot down. He says we have three healthy babies. I'm 41 [and] I had a little health stuff [while pregnant] with Hal."

Still, Jones remained convinced Jenna would find a way to win over her husband and get her wish, and she agreed. Jenna jokingly said, "Well, I do feel like women usually have the advantage in that area."

Likewise, during an earlier episode of the show, the "Everything Beautiful in Its Time" author shared a surprising new fact about her marriage. She explained to E! News presenter Justin Sylvester how she had asked Henry to marry her five years before he did in 2007.

The Blast noted that the "Ana's Story: A Journey of Hope" author said she popped the question just three months into their relationship after "several cocktails" during a special night out with each other.

And although she thought she was pretty compelling with the marriage offer to her man, she mentioned that he turned it down immediately. However, in the end, her beau made a "real proposal" and asked for her hand in marriage several years after he nervously sought her father's blessing.

Here's How Jenna Bush Hager Commemorated Her Sister Barbara Bush's Childbirth

Just as she would share details about her marriage and kids, the American writer and journalist was all too hyped to share that her sister Barbara Bush had become a new mom on September 27, 2021, as reported by The Blast.

The proud aunt took to social media to congratulate Barbara on delivering her first child with her husband, Craig Coyne, in Maine. The television personality uploaded four snaps of her niece, Cora Georgina, who was carried and cuddled by her and the new parents on a hospital bed with their daughter. In the warm tribute, Jenna penned:

"Dearest Cora Georgia, Today is the day I got to meet my most beautiful, precious, feisty niece (a bit earlier than we expected!)."

She also pointed out that she "witnessed in awe" as the "dearest, toughest" Barbara "became a mama" and called the occasion the day she "fell in love!" Finally, she noted that "some cousins are anxiously waiting to play with" the newborn but "not just yet love." She signed off the post with "Xx auntie j."
