At this point, there is no question that Tory -- whose real name is Daystar Peterson -- was convicted of firing off a gun on the night that Meg the Stallion was shot in her feet and now that the trial is over and sentencing has taken place, Peterson’s next move will be getting ready to report to prison.

Prosecutors initially asked the judge to give the rapper 13 years behind bars. In court, they accused him of re-traumatized Megan with social media posts regarding the case and inciting anger towards her by doing it.

Tory’s lawyers, on the other hand, were hoping that he would essentially get a slap on the wrist via probation, and be released from jail to enter a substance abuse program. They argued that the evidence against him was “questionable at best.”

An interesting fact that had fans super involved was that they were all attending a house party at Kylie Jenner’s Hollywood Hills home. The dramatic trail took a left turn when Tory had this to say while being escorted out of the courtroom and back to his prison cell: “I could be your son. I could be your brother.”

Meanwhile, on Meg’s side of life, the rapper is back from her mini-break and making music again. In fact, it was just yesterday that she announced her new project! Okay, hold up no music yet but she is in a musical.

The film Dicks: The Musical is about a pair of salesmen who find out their long-lost twins. This could be a great opportunity for Meg to drop music without actually dropping new music. The A24 musical hasn’t given too much detail on Meg’s role but in the trailer, she appears to be the boss for the two lead characters.

As for Tory, maybe he will continue to release music from behind bars. All gun-related activity aside, he had a few bops this might be one of those moments where we separate the artist from the BS.
