Is Britney Spears Teasing A New Song Collaboration With Cardi B?!

On Friday afternoon, the 41-year-old pop star took to Instagram to share a few photos of the Vatican. Britney loves posting photos of the inside of churches, so this wasn't a big surprise to fans. What was a big surprise is that she actually tagged the "Up" rapper in her post.

In the caption of this Instagram post, Britney wrote, "I want me and @iamcardib to show up at The Vatican … I think our a**es can take the world to church ?⛪️????!!! Stay classy my friends and don’t forget to be kind ??? !!!"

As of this writing, Cardi has yet to reply, but fans would love to see Britney creating more music! Last month, the 41-year-old pop star released her second post-conservatorship single, "Mind Your Business" withwill.i.am, who teased that she has a "plethora" of unreleased music that fans can't wait to hear!

In a July 2023 interview with TMZ Live, the Black Eyes Peas frontman revealed that Britney Spears came up with an entirely new song when she was working on “Mind Your Business.”

“I can tell you from this experience of fine-tuning, Mind Your Business, um, she went over some ideas, like, ‘Hey put this on it,’ and I’m like, ‘Yo, Britney, this is idea, that you just gave right now, is actually a new song. This is freaking crazy,’” he recalled. “She gave this idea,” he continued. “I was like, ‘Wow, wow, wait, you can’t just throw this away in this song. This is a whole song within itself.’”

“She has ideas and an idea. I could only imagine that Britney is sitting on a plethora of songs that she’s done with different producers. I’m pretty sure her and Pharrell probably have stuff that was unreleased,” he added.

Will.I.Am went on to say, “I’m pretty sure that she has to have… no artist that is that prolific, that’s an idea machine, doesn’t have a plethora of song,” adding, “The moment she goes in the studio and focuses on a record, you know it’s going to be earth-shattering.”

“I just, it’s going to be earth shattering because there’s not that many people that have been through what she’s been through that is going to help folks that having similar situations,” he added, saying that “whatever” music she puts out is “going to be amazing.”

While Britney Spears has been making headlines for her music, Cardi B has been making headlines over a thrown microphone, although she will not be facing criminal charges.

According to ABC News, the Grammy winner will not face charges for throwing her microphone into the crowd during her show in Las Vegas last Saturday. According to video footage that was released online, she threw her microphone into the crowd after one of the attendees threw a drink at her while she was performing her 2017 hit song “Bodak Yellow.”

In a statement, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department said, “This case has been closed as having insufficient evidence.” According to a police report, someone in the crowd “was struck by the microphone on her right shoulder.”

The individual, whose name was redacted in the police report, reportedly told law enforcement officials that she was “experiencing pain because of this incident" and planned to seek "medical attention."

A separate video posted over the weekend showed Cardi B telling her fans that she was hot and asking them to throw some water on her. It’s unclear if this happened before or after someone actually threw a drink at her. However, on Sunday, she addressed the incident herself on the live-streaming app Stationhead.

She said that she was “assaulted” when the water hit her, adding that the ice hit her face “mad hard.” She went on to say, “What happened yesterday was blatantly disrespectful.”
