Tori Spelling's Mother Candy Under Fire For Allegedly Neglecting Her Daughter Amid RV Living Situation

Candy Spelling, who reportedly inherited $600 million when her husband, legendary producer Aaron Spelling, died in 2006, is facing criticism for her alleged indifference towards her daughter, Tori, and her grandchildren's living situation.

Tori and her five kids were spotted staying in an RV, and this didn't sit well with some fans, who then proceeded to criticize her mother, Candy, for sharing a video of flowers on her lavish home's balcony on Instagram instead of assisting the struggling actress.

One follower wrote, "Fancy letting your daughter and your 5 grandchildren live in an RV. You ought to be ashamed of yourself for not helping her emotionally and financially. You can't take it with you."

Another fan criticized her for not sharing her wealth with her family, commenting, "There's something said about a woman who will sit by and watch with joy, her 4+ grandchildren and daughter live in poverty and squalor. Can you not share some of your inheritance?"

One commenter empathized with Tori and the grandchildren, stating, "I completely agree with all the hate. I understand Tori may not have always been a perfect person but those Grandkids didn't do anything wrong. They shouldn't have to live stuffed in an RV."

Some fans defended Candy from the flood of criticisms, with one saying, "Mrs. spelling, you have every right to choose not to help your daughter. Your daughter made her bed when she cheated on her husband and then married Dean and he 5 kids. They are both able bodied parents who should take care of their family and not look for handouts."

Dean McDermott, surprisingly announced in a now-deleted post that he and Tori were separating after 18 years of marriage. At the time, Tori's mother, Candy, voiced her support for her daughter.

She told TMZ that she would, without a doubt, assist her financially if necessary. "I will always be there for her," she said. "I love my daughter, and I support her in whatever she does."

A new report claims that the former reality star is undoubtedly facing financial difficulties.

An insider revealed to Entertainment Tonight that Tori's financial struggles are a reality, stating, "The mold situation [at her house] is real, but it has been difficult for her to find a place to stay during it because her financial situation is not great."

The insider added that Tori is "doing her best to make things work and take care of her kids" and views her time in the trailer park "as a mini vacation rather than a living situation."

Earlier this month, Tori and her children attracted attention for their brief stay at a $100 motel, which she defended by highlighting the lengths parents would go to for their children's well-being. "Are you a parent? You know you would do whatever you can for your kids, right?" she told a paparazzo.

Tori recently confronted realtor Robert Vinson for what she perceived as him ridiculing her family's housing predicament. According to Page Six, Tori posted what she claimed were text messages from him on her Instagram Stories.

In his message, he wrote, "The latest bizarre inquiry. Tori Spelling has been asking for a 1-month rental. If you follow her situation on TMZ it is all amusing."

Spelling responded by highlighting the importance of empathy and kindness, especially when children are involved. "Wow! Human empathy and kindness prevail. Kids in crisis is amusing," she wrote.

Sharing the exchange on her social media, Tori questioned Vinson's treatment of people in need, writing, "My 5 kids are going through Mold poisoning and we need a home and this is how you treat people? Mocking their situation?"

In May, Tori disclosed that her family had to leave their home due to severe mold exposure affecting her children's health.

Later, she acknowledged the dire situation on Instagram, writing, "We now know that when the house was labeled a health hazard and not liveable [sic] that wording was FACT."

She mentioned the challenge of uprooting a large family, particularly when everyone was unwell, adding, "We now GET IT! It's hard to just uproot a huge family, especially amid all feeling so sick and in bed. But, we now will vacate the home asap."
