Meghan Markle Has Moved On From The Feud
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are moving on from their long-standing feud with the British Royal family. A source recently revealed to People Magazine that Meghan decided to let go of the issue after seeing the impact on her husband.
They said, "The situation with [King Charles III] and [Prince William] is still very difficult for [Harry]. Meghan is always supportive of it though. She used to be negative about it. It seems she has kind of moved on now." They explained that the Duchess now has a "much softer approach about Harry's family."
Their Rift With Royal Family Became Public News In 2020
Harry and Meghan's feud with the Royal family became public news in January 2020. That was when the couple resigned from their senior Royal roles and moved to California. The family ties were further strained when they released a controversial interview with Oprah Winfrey in 2021.
During the interview, Meghan claimed another Royal had questioned the skin color of their unborn son. She said, "It was only once we were married, everything started to worsen, that I came to understand that not only was I not being protected. They were willing to lie to protect other members of the family."
However, Harry also revealed his issues with King Charles and Prince William started after he introduced Meghan to the family in 2018. After the couple resigned, things became worse when the Duke released his memoir "Spare" this year.
Meghan Markle & Prince Harry Are Focused On Raising Their Kids
Now that Harry and Meghan are moving on from their feud, the couple are focusing all their time on their kids, Archie and Lilibet. A source also told People that they only care about their kids and "their life in Montecito." They said, "They have moved continents. They have set up a new life with their kids."
The insider shared that Markle is very active in her kids' schooling and social lives. They explained that the couple wants to give Archie and Lilibet "a normal life as much as possible." The children reportedly have a "very play-based" upbringing with multiple play areas at their home.
A local resident in Montecito, where the couple lives, spoke to the news outlet about how the family interacts with the community. They shared that the kids have multiple play dates and outings when they're not in school. They said, "She talks to everyone; there is no pretense."
A family friend also told People that Harry and Meghan prefer a lowkey family and community life. They said, "They're not into a big scene. They prefer smaller group hangouts at home, karaoke, that sort of thing."
The Royal Couple Were Subject Of Marital Rumors
Harry and Meghan were recently the subject of rumors that their marriage was on the rocks. A source revealed to Radar Online recently that the couple had decided to take "time apart" to "figure out what hit them."
However, a source that spoke to People dispelled the rumors as completely false and "literally made up." The couple further weakened the claims of a strained marriage with a video recently shared to their Archewell website.
The video showed Harry and Meghan in matching outfits as they sat on a garden bench to inform several people that they'd been granted technology grants. According to the website, these "innovators and campaigners have been awarded a total of $2 million to support their efforts to build a more inclusive, equitable, and accountable online world."
