A recent report has revealed that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were denied their request to ride with the Bidens on Air Force One after Queen Elizabeth's funeral.

Agreeing to the request would have allegedly caused a commotion and strained relationships with King Charles III.

The Sussexes and The firm have not been on good terms since they decided to step down from being senior royals in 2020. It was further worsened by the debut of their bombshell Netflix documentary "Harry & Meghan" in December 2022.

According to the Daily Mail, Harry and his wife Meghan were not granted permission to use Air Force One for their journey back to America after attending Queen Elizabeth II's funeral in the U.K. last year.

Air Force One is the official plane for the President of the United States and was used by Joe Biden and his wife for the same visit. Despite the fact that the Sussexes reside in California, U.S.A., the option of hitching a ride on the presidential aircraft was turned down.

A source for the news outlet noted that accepting Harry and Meghan's request "would have caused such a commotion." They added, "It would have strained relations with the Palace and the new King [Charles III]."

Ultimately, the couple took the only alternative, which was to return home by public flight. Harry & Meghan left London Heathrow Airport on Tuesday, September 20, for their Montecito residence just one day after the funeral.

It comes after speculation recently arose that Harry and Meghan might be splitting up soon after five years of marriage.

A source told Radar Online that the duo are reportedly "taking time apart" amid their recent personal issues, such as losing their podcast deal with Spotify and mounting financial commitments.

"They're trying to figure out what hit them. Harry doesn't fit in Meghan's tacky Tinseltown world," the source noted about the duo, who share two kids, Archie and Lilibet.

However, such claims about the couple have been refuted by a close insider, who noted that the rumored breakup was mere fiction.

"It's not true. It's literally made up," the source said, per Page Six.

Among the reported setbacks the couple has faced recently is a potential delay in greenlighting their next Netflix projects due to the Hollywood Writers Strike.

One of the projects on the table is a documentary about humanitarian issues in South Africa, but the current situation with the ongoing strike will reportedly make it "tough" to move forward.

Harry and Meghan also recently had their deal with Spotify terminated by mutual decision. Per Page Six, the streaming giant took the decision because the couple's podcast "Archetypes," which was borne out of the deal, did not live up to its potential.

"Although 'Archetypes' did well and got a couple of awards, when you go into a deal like this, to have just one series over that course of time is not great," an insider said.

Their trademark application to patent "Archetypes" was also rejected by the U.S. Trademark and Patent Office, although they have made plans to refile after refining their application.

Despite the multiple setbacks, the Sussexes have also had a couple of wins.

Their bombshell documentary became Netflix's biggest documentary debut yet and its second-highest-ranked documentary. It was also recently nominated for a Hollywood Critics Award in the Best Streaming Nonfiction category and is being tipped to win the category.

They were also recently assured that their relationship with Netflix would continue for the foreseeable future after speculation emerged that the streaming platform was looking to part ways with them.

The couple signed the $100 million deal shortly after stepping down from their roles as senior royals in 2020.

"We value our partnership with Archewell Productions…. we'll continue to work together on a number of projects, including the upcoming documentary series Heart of Invictus," read a statement from Netflix's rep, per People magazine.
