The OG "Real Housewives of New York" beauty took a second from wading in any metaphorical 'crappee lakes' with fellow 'RHONY' babe Sonja Morgan, to share some big news on Instagram. de Lesseps, 58, was a full-time cast member of the "Real Housewives of New York" from its debut season in 2008, until the last season in its former iteration in 2020.

The unofficial king of Bravo, Andy Cohen, got fans' radar up after hinting that the Bravo favorite was headed for a major makeover; The Blast was on hand to share the news!

Since our report, 'RHONY' has been rebooted and is currently airing its first season. In addition to a rebooted 'RHONY," the reality TV sensation was in talks to honor the countless women who have taken bites out of the Big Apple, Bravo style, with a show referred to as 'RHONY Legacy.'

More than a year after the whispers started, Bravo fans are finally getting a huge clue regarding the series' next chapter!

What's The Deal With 'RHONY Legacy?'

Cohen announced the franchise would be completely "rebooted" via a Variety interview last March.

The announcement was made following a great deal of online discourse from fans concerning veteran cast members seeing consequences from their alleged actions, calls for a younger cast, and for an effort to implement more equal representation among cast members.

In January of this year, Cohen gave an update to fans surrounding 'RHONY Legacy.'

According to our report, Cohen debunked rumors surrounding the possibility of the series not moving forward. The series was thought to reportedly face roadblocks after some women reportedly wanted an upgrade in salaries and desired more screen time. Cohen responded by tweeting, "Don't believe everything you read #RHONYlegacy." Fans were grateful to Cohen for giving them something to work with until more news was revealed.

Fans Can Expect A Summer Holiday With 'RHONY Legacy' Later This Year!

Summer just got a bit warmer: The highly-anticipated 'RHONY Legacy' is on its way... but fans will likely be bundled up by the time it airs!

de Lesseps posted a picture to her Instagram of the cast having fun on a boat in St. Barths, and captioned it "Christmas is coming early on @Peacock! πŸ™Œ As a 🎁to the fans, next #RHUGT will be #RHONYLEGACY! Dropping this December!!!" Singer also posted a pic announcement.

The ladies who will appear are de Lesseps and her 'Crappie Lake' cast mate, Ramona Singer, Dorinda Medley, Kelly Bensimon, and Kristen Taekman.

This will be Singer's first appearance with any of the Bravo ladies since reportedly discouraging an invitation to participate in the series.

Singer's unexpected appearance isn't the only surprise the series will bring. According to Us Weekly, 'RHONY Legacy' will technically serve as the fifth season of "Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip," and will air before the series' fourth. The publication reveals a source said the decision was made "in an effort to ride the momentum of the success of the new 'RHONY' and '[Luann and Sonja: Welcome To] Crappie Lake."

As of this writing, there is no exact air date for 'RHUGT's fifth season.
