Alix Earle Faces Backlash For Alleged Make-Out Session With A Teen

TikTok star Alix Earle is under fire amid her alleged romance with NFL star Braxton Berrios.

The timing of their relationship seemed to overlap with the time the athlete was still dating “The Culpo Sisters” reality star, Sophia Culpo, leading some to comment that Alix was not a “girl’s girl.”

Although Alix has tried to stay out of this controversy, she admitted that she was “shocked” to learn that she had been involved in a new one: after she made her red carpet debut with Braxton Berrios at the 2023 ESPY Awards, she was allegedly caught making out with fashion designer Donna Karan’s grandson, Sebastian, when he was only 17.

The TeaTok Talk Instagram page shared a few screenshots of the drama, reading, “Alix Earle responds to backlash following her alleged make-out session with a 17-year-old Sebastian De Delice!” One fan asked, “SEVENTEEN?????” to which Alix replied, “Just as shocked as you are.”

In another slide, another user wrote, “Probably worth $17.” Alix replied, “You’re right. I should’ve asked beforehand.” However, some fans were quick to excuse the Internet celebrity, with one user calling her an “icon” and telling her to “ignore the haters, queen.” The final slide contained photos of the two together, along with the alleged make-out session.

So all that time she didn’t once ask how old he was or Google search him? Yeah, can’t relate!”

Fans were quick to call out the social media sensation. “In case y’all didn’t know it is an adult’s LEGAL responsibility to verify the age of the person they’re engaging with, it doesn’t matter how old the minor said they were or how old you THOUGHT they were,” one user commented.

“Nah. It’s your responsibility as an adult to make sure. She is so ignorant. You are older which means you were in a position of power. You are at fault. You are a creep,” another netizen chimed in. “The amount of people defending her, but didn’t give James Charles the same energy. Just proves everything,” another user shared, referring to the make-up artist and once-popular YouTuber.

“A lot of her stans will be like ‘They met at a club.’ Meanwhile, prior to that, they were photographed at a dinner party sitting next to each other the whole night. You can’t tell me that, career, school, and other things didn’t come up in that conversation. Her stans are so far up her ass there’s no way of saving them,” another user commented.

“If roles were reversed god knows what would have happened to that person and she should get the same treatment. Don’t put the blame only on the guy she is to blame too for not being an adult and asking questions,” they added.

“Even if she didn’t know she is responsible. Apologize, don’t go into your comments and act innocent or act like it’s ok because ‘you didn’t know.’ Complete BS,” another netizen concluded. “She needs to be held accountable like a man would,” another user shared. “Lol but if I guy did this their career would be over double standards wild. It is not okay for any adult to do this,” another netizen asserted.

Some fans also called out Alix for cheating on Braxton; however, the two are reportedly not even together. Even though they were seen walking the red carpet and posing for photos at the 2023 ESPY Awards, a source told People magazine that the Miami Dolphins wide receiver “never became official nor boyfriend/girlfriend” with the TikTok star.

"Despite the fact they went to a red carpet together and maybe in traditional Hollywood terms, that could be interpreted as 'a hard launch' of a relationship, that’s not what it was at all," the source said. "Both have continued to keep things casual and have fun with each other."

The source adds that "the two have always agreed they were not exclusive or official, knowing that Alix wanted to have a fun summer after just graduating and Braxton would be off at training before the end of the summer."

Even though they might not be dating, the fact that Alix made out with a 17-year-old is still frustrating many fans, especially given her lack of apology about it. As of right now, the comments on her Instagram posts are flooded with fans hoping that she will make an apology and hold herself accountable for the incident.
