Madonna feels lucky “to be alive” and she is sharing her happiness and good fortune with her fans, by telling them what’s the most important medicine. In a sweet post, the 64-year-old singer reflected back on her health scare and what lies ahead.
For Madonna, Love Is The Best Thing Ever
In a new social media post, Madonna detailed what was important to her and how lucky she felt to be alive, as she wrote, “Love from family and friends is the best Medicine. One month out of the hospital and I can reflect.”
She added, “As a Mother you can really get caught up In the needs Of your children and the seemingly endless giving… But when the chips were down my children really showed up for me. I saw a side to them I had never seen before. It made all the difference.”
Madonna shares daughter, model Lourdes Leon, with Carlos Leon, and a son, Rocco Ritchie, with director Guy Ritchie. She is also mom to four adopted children – David Banda, Chifundo “Mercy” James, and twins Stella and Estere.
The 64-year-old Queen of Pop was supposed to kick off her ambitious retrospective tour on July 15, starting in Vancouver. This tour would celebrate 40 years of her being in the music industry but on June 28, her manager, Guy Oseary shared a statement saying that she had developed a serious bacterial infection “which led to a several-day stay in the ICU. Her health is improving, however, she is still under medical care. A full recovery is expected.”
This is what she shared, two weeks ago, as she detailed her health scare and thanked fans for their love!

Madonna Also Thanked Her Manager In New Post
Madonna also made sure to thank Guy Oseary, her longtime manager in her new post, as he appears to have gifted her a Polaroid taken by Andy Warhol of Keith Haring wearing a jacket painted with Michael Jackson’s face, which she described as “a perfect triangle of brilliance … artists who touched so many lives including my own.”
Madonna admitted to sobbing when she opened the gift, “Because I realized how lucky I am to be alive. And how fortunate I am to have known these people and so many others who are also gone.” The “Like A Virgin” singer continued to write, thanking Oseary for his gift, “And Thank you to all my angels who protected me and let me Stay to finish doing my work!”
The UK leg of the Celebration tour is now scheduled to commence with four nights at the O2 Arena in London beginning 14 October so Madonna is excited about it all after being on the road to recovery.
Fans are simply thankful that she’s okay as one wrote, “I am so glad you are still here. I couldn’t begin to repay you for everything your music has meant to me in my life. I’ve been an ardently loyal fan from Day 1 in 1983 & have defended you unwaveringly & unapologetically through thick & thin over the years. Thank you, Madonna.”

Singer Says She Hates To Dissapoint Anyone
While there were plenty of rumors about how Madonna “faked” her illness because of low ticket sales, the claim was not only cruel but also false. In January itself, Billboard reported that 35 of Madonna’s 51 shows sold out the very day the tour was announced, with 600,000 tickets selling in just a few hours.
Clearly, someone is spreading false rumors about the singer, but luckily, the tour is all set to commence with a few months’ delay. Plenty of celebrities also jumped onto her post to wish her well and express their concern. Sharon Stone wrote, “Honey I was so worried,” while Donatella Versace sent her white heart emojis.
More fans also expressed their relief that she was okay, writing, “Your fans love you so much M! I hope you know how much you mean to people and how many lives you have changed! You have been a mother to us in the sense of how much you’ve inspired us! Thank you, so glad to see you doing well!”
