Chrishell Stause Reveals Japanese Heritage After 'Impressive' Birthday Vacation

The beloved Hollywood starlet made headlines again, but this time for something completely unexpected. In a heartfelt revelation, the star opened up about her ancestral ties to the Land of the Rising Sun, adding a new dimension to her already captivating persona.

The star, who proudly boasts 1/4 Japanese ancestry, took to social media to share glimpses of her enchanting birthday trip to Japan alongside her partner, Australian musician G Flip.

Taking to her Instagram Story, the actress shared in a video, "So sad to leave Japan. We literally had the best trip ever ever ever. Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka, I don't even know, they're all tied. I love them so much, and I'm sad to leave." 

The reality TV star humbly admitted that words and images could hardly do justice to her incredible experience. She noted, "Although I am only 25% Japanese, I feel really proud to experience this side of my heritage." 

Fans must have filled her DMs with many questions because a few hours later, the celebrity real estate agent uploaded an adorable family photo to her story. Alongside the snap, the 42-year-old shared a few details about the people in the picture with words that read:

"My Bio dad (pictured here), who I met later in life, was born in Kure' and his mom was raised in Hokkaido. He is half Japanese and half Spanish. My mom's maiden name was McCormick, so I am a mix of European and Irish on her side." 

Before embarking on her captivating trip, Stause had marked her 42nd birthday in style, surrounded by her fellow Selling Sunset co-stars Chelsea Lazkani and Emma Hernan. Exuding pure happiness, the "All My Children" star shared a delightful series of photos capturing the celebrations with the affectionate crew. 

For the memorable dinner, she dazzled in an above-knee-length white dress with a halter neckline and side cutouts, proudly displaying her tiny waist. She adorned her chic outfit with golden heels and sleek glam, her lustrous hair elegantly styled into a middle part, cascading gracefully over her shoulder. 

Not to be outdone, Hernan also graced the celebration in a mesmerizing sky-blue gown featuring lacey textures adorned with ruffles and two dainty straps.

Meanwhile, Lazkani sparkled in a stunning silver two-piece featuring a chic crop top, flowing skirt, and glass-like heels. With sunglasses on, the trio made playful gestures at the camera, puckering their lips, sticking their tongues out, laughing, and relishing their drinks. 

Delighted by the gesture, Stause excitedly described the day, "My birthday isn't until Friday the 21st, but I will be in Japan ? ?? so my friends surprised me with a little early celebration! | love you guys ? ?." 

For her followers, she encouraged everyone to embrace the beauty of "getting older," adding, "I am here to tell you [to] embrace it!! We only get one life, and if you didn't have a birthday…think of the alternative? Birthdays are the best!" 

In an interview with The Project, the musician opened up about their relationship with Stause, shedding light on their Las Vegas wedding that did not quite make it to legal status. Despite their differences, the non-binary songwriter reportedly revealed the remarkable similarities they share, stating:

"We actually are so much more similar than you would think. I feel like aesthetically she's kind of like this beautiful Barbie and, you know, I'm always looking, however, I'm looking." 

Discovering common ground, the 29-year-old shared, "We just got to know each other. We just found we had so many things in common. She's just awesome." The "Bring Me Home" singer added that while their partner was absent, she would join later.

They also disclosed that the "Days of Our Lives" actress "likes getting front row in the mosh. She ain't standing on the side, you know?" During another interview on "The Kyle and Jackie O Show" on KIIS FM, G Flip debunked the widespread belief that they met on the set of their video shoot. 

They stated, "We actually met before the video, we kissed a couple of times before the music video. We met plenty of times before and hung out." Although their first meeting was brief, at the beginning of 2022, they reconnected, and sparks started to fly as they flirted with each other.
