Following reports of her marriage to Slater hitting the rocks, Jay decided to share her side of things in an emotional revelation with Page Six, where she called out Grammy Award-winning singer Ariana Grande.

"[Ariana's] the story really. Not a girl's girl," Jay told the news outlet. "My family is just collateral damage."

The separation of the Broadway actor and his wife, Jay, has been a subject of intense social media debate, with many even calling Grande a "homewrecker."

Reports of Slater's budding romance with Grande began circulating shortly after news of the "Break Up With Your Girlfriend, I'm Bored" singer's split from her husband, Dalton Gomez. This also led to speculation that their new relationship might have played a role in Jay and Slater's marriage breakdown.

According to the news outlet, Jay noted that she's currently focused on raising her and Slater's baby and being "a good mom."

TMZ recently revealed that Grande's new lover, Slater, filed for divorce from his estranged wife, Jay, in a court in New York.

The reason for the divorce filing has reportedly not been specified, although the pair were said to have been separated for a while now.

Slater and Jay, who were "high school sweethearts," got married in 2018 and share a son. According to reports, she is "upset" that their son "won't have both his mom and dad around constantly," as the "SpongeBob SquarePants: The New Musical" star is seemingly bent on pursuing his relationship with Grande.

A source also told the news outlet that Slater and Jay are not on "good terms," as the entire situation has left her "feeling betrayed and heartbroken."

According to Page Six, sources claim that Jay has been actively seeking media attention by reaching out to various news outlets to share her side of the story.

The source claimed that she has been "calling every news outlet to get this story out," indicating a proactive effort on her part to have her perspective heard in the ongoing saga. However, these same sources also suggest that behind the scenes, Jay's behavior towards Slater has been markedly different from her public display.

"She's telling Ethan and others that she only cares about protecting their child," the source shared.

Upon noting that the estranged couple had been separated for two months before Slater's romance with Grande, the insider added, "She's rightfully upset because her marriage fell apart, but Ariana and Ethan didn't do anything wrong."

"Ethan is trying to take the high road and hopes he can resolve this situation for the sake of their child."

A source close to Jay claimed that she was "blindsided" by the revelation of Slater's relationship with the "No Tears Left To Cry" singer, per Page Six.

According to the source, Jay was unaware of the nature of Slater's connection with Grande, leading to feelings of shock and betrayal upon learning about the romantic affair.

"It's horrible. They were high school sweethearts. They have a baby! She's a wreck," the source shared.

Slater and Grande reportedly grew close while working on the set of their upcoming movie, "Wicked." 

The former Nickelodeon star has also been under serious scrutiny over the shocking end of her marriage with Dalton Gomez. The news of their split stunned fans of the pair as they seemed to be fine until this month when Grande was spotted at Wimbledon without her wedding ring.

Grande has also proceeded to wipe her social media clean of all her marriage photos.
