Many Celebrities Paid Tribute To O'Connor On Social Media Following News Of Her Death
Tributes for O'Connor quickly made their way to social media. The Blast took a look at a handful that had been posted soon after the news of her death had been announced.
Pretenders frontwoman Chrissie Hynde (pictured above with a young O'Connor) made an appearance on BBC Radio 2, and called O'Connor "a really fun person," and added she was "glad" O'Connor "got out" of the earthside pain O'Connor publicly experienced.
"It was sad, and yet I'm happy for her," Hynde said.
The "Precious" singer also explained how she met O'Connor.
"I put a big concert for Linda McCartney together when she died, and Sinead was a part of that and she was such a riot to hang out with," she said. "She was a good fun person, but she was always angling for things and stirring it up."
Hynde later said, "She's had a hard time of it the last few years," adding "She's, without question, in a better place because she was a tender-hearted person. So fly on sweet angel." (per Express.co.uk)
