Regarding her upcoming EP, Elite Daily published an article that contained a previous interview with Kelly. Per the outlet, the "All in My Head" hitmaker addressed why she changed her hairstyle, marking a "new era" for her. In the interview which happened in May, the Grammy Award winner stated:
"When I was in the studio, I was already starting to let my roots grow out. I was like, 'I'm over this. I don't wanna dye my hair anymore. I think it's just time for a change.' It just made sense to not dye my hair. It just felt right. This look is both very natural and a progression of me figuring out what I love."
This artistic progression is also evident in her forthcoming project, comprising seven songs, including the popular March-released single "Missin' U." Through this song, Kelly effortlessly blends pop and R&B, showcasing her powerful and melodious voice.
Other songs featured on the "Tori" EP are "Cut," "Shelter," "Unbelievable" featuring Nigerian singer Arya Starr, "Alive If I Die," "Young Gun" featuring singer and producer Bellion, and a special "Missin' U [R&B Edit]" version.
