The Spanish singer and the Puerto Rican artist are individually celebrated as their countries' leading acts, with their union promising to bring the best of both worlds to their careers. However, their breakup has squashed all hopes of such collaborations.

The 30-year-old entertainers have dropped out of their plans to say their vows despite the alleged feelings between them. Insiders confirmed the dissolution of their union to PEOPLE, claiming the breakup was a joint decision.
According to these informants, the musicians had a great deal of love and respect for each other. However, for some undisclosed reason, the duo had agreed it was best to end their four-month engagement.
Overall, the separation concluded the lovebirds' four-year romance, an intimacy that began sometime in late 2019. However, the couple did not confirm their romance until September 2021, publicly declaring their love on social media.
Following the debut of their relationship, the media personalities gave fans plenty to envy with their frequent PDA and sweet tributes to each other. In March 2022, Rosalía revealed that she'd gotten the duo's initials "RR" inked on her foot.
In response to her romantic gesture, Alejandro tattooed "Rosalía" above his navel in a handwritten font. This year's March, the former couple confirmed their engagement via the music video for their song "Beso." The emotional track was featured on the duo's joint EP "RR."
That same month, the pair served couple goals as the cover of Billboard and opened up about their low-key romance in the outlet's cover story. Taking the lead, Rosalía explained the duo mutually decided to keep their romance away from the public because they wished to strengthen their bonds.
"We wanted to solidify our relationship and build its foundations, and then, if the music were meant to come, it would come," the Spanish singer explained. Her then-beau echoed similar opinions, noting the couple were career-focused.
"Plus, we were in different stages in our careers, and we wanted to make our fans focus on what we were doing, which was our projects," the Puerto Rican heartthrob added.
"People love drama in entertainment, and a romantic relationship will always take precedence," the 30-year-old continued. "We felt that if ours came to light, the effort we’ve both made toward our projects and music would come second."
The duo noted their contrasting lifestyles complimented each other, with Alejandro describing his lover as a "freak-crazy workaholic" who was a "far more disciplined" musician. Meanwhile, Rosalía revealed the entertainer's relaxed demeanor helped "balance" her as he frequently reminded her to take things slow.
Continuing the gush feast, the King of Modern Reggaeton claimed the pair supported each other by sharing ideas about music. Additionally, the duo ensured they represented themselves as artists and a couple. "We motivate each other to keep rising to an infinite level," the San Juan native raved.

The "WAP" singer shared the big update on her Instagram Story, unveiling a close-up picture of an emotional Rosalía. In the snap, the Spanish beauty's eyes were filled with unshed tears as she posed with an enormous diamond ring on her wedding finger.
Elated for her friend, the Grammy recipient captioned the sweet pic with the words: "Congrats @rosalia.vt @rauwalejandro" alongside the emojis of a red heart, a red rose, and a wedding ring.
She followed her well-wishes with a second overlay text, writing: "So adorable, almost made me cry." Following Cardi's announcement, the former couple proved her words were not a hoax with the stunning music video for their collaborative project, "Beso."
