Ethan Slater Reportedly Kept Relationship With Ariana Grande Hush-Hush From Co-Stars!

Ariana Grande's reported romance with Ethan Slater took the internet by storm last week. Strangers weren't the only ones captivated by the news; those in the duo's personal circle were equally as shocked!

News surrounding the "breathin'" singer's marriage to real estate agent Dalton Gomez has dominated news cycles as of late. Sources have confirmed the couple, who tied the knot in the spring of 2021, are now separated.

Lily Jay, the 31-year-old entertainer's ex-wife, was reportedly blindsided by her former husband's relationship with Grande. Jay isn't the only figure in Slater's inner circle who is surprised by his sudden romance. Slater's "SpongeBob Squarepants: The Broadway Musical" co-star recently shared her thoughts on the surprising courtship.

Jay was reportedly "completely blindsided" regarding Slater's relationship with Grande, Page Six reported. The aftershock of the news has Jay allegedly feeling like "an emotional wreck," according to sources.

Sources told the publication, "They were high school sweethearts. They have a baby! She is a wreck." Sources have also attributed Slater's relationship with the "NASA" singer has been an area of strife in their marriage; the couple had reportedly not been known to be experiencing trouble in their marriage before Slater's relationship with Grande began, sources have also said.

Slater has reportedly done his best to keep his budding romance with Grande on the down low.

His 'SpongeBob' co-star Lilli Cooper revealed she hadn't known of her former co-star's new relationship.

Cooper recently spoke to Page Six and shared how she took the big news.

"I was surprised," she told the publication, also noting she hadn't "spoken to him in awhile." Cooper would go on to admit she, too, had been a bit thrown off by Slater's rumored new flame.

"It's an interesting coupling for sure, unexpected," the Broadway actress said.

Slater's reported new relationship may have taken those who know him and his potential new girlfriend, but this likely doesn't mean much to his new gal; Grande seems to be focused on leaving her marriage behind.

Although Grande and Gomez have not commented on the fate of their relationship (nor has she confirmed the rumors she is now dating Slater) the fragrance entrepreneur has reportedly deleted all evidence of her May, 2o21 wedding from Instagram, according to one of our recent pieces of coverage. In addition to snaps of her big day, Grande has also removed posts commemorating the couple's second anniversary this past May. Gomez's last appearance on Grande's grid is from last November.
