Proud Grandfather Al Roker Enjoys Sweet Moment With Daughter's Newborn Clara

Al Roker has a new favorite family member and it’s no other than his granddaughter Sky Clara Laga.

In true grandparent fashion, the "Today" show host seems to always ten-toe down to spend quality time with his daughter Courtney Roker Laga's little girl, born on July 3rd. The first-time grandfather spent the day on Monday, July 24, taking in the view of his granddaughter. The 68-year-old author proudly uploaded the blissful moment of him holding the infant in an Instagram post.

Roker is very much the type of grandparent that won't stop marveling at his grandbaby, and as most proud grandpas do, he shared his excitement with as many people as possible. The image showed the "Another World" star cradling the tiny tot while sitting. They both stared at each other.

Baby Clara, who boasts a full head of hair, was dressed in a yellow onesie, while Roker sported his work clothes. The caption on the post read: "I could look into this face all day. But then, little Sky Clara wouldn't get to eat, so I eventually had to give her back to Mommy and Daddy."

The Blast reported that not long after his grandchild was born, the TV star expressed how he felt about his grandfather's role, which he has gracefully embraced. He also authored how significant her birth was to the entire family.

"And then this little girl came into my life. Welcome to the world, Sky Clara Laga. In love all over again. Thank you, Courtney and Wes, for such a perfect blessing. Your baby is beautiful. Already planning the ways to spoil her and then hand her back," he wrote alongside photos of his beautiful granddaughter.

The weather anchor is just as fascinated with his daughter Courtney as he is with his first grandchild. In June, while she was still pregnant with Clara, the proud father showed how much he loves her and her hubby, Wesley, by paying an adorable tribute to them on their second wedding anniversary.

The journalist shared a super-cute throwback of the heartthrobs on their wedding day and a shot of them at their baby's shower. He posted a snap of himself and his baby girl too.

At the shower, Wesley sported a navy-blue suit with a light pink T-Shirt underneath and black office shoes. A makeup-free Courtney donned a deep pink long-sleeve gown and black flat sandals.

Meanwhile, Roker rocked denim pants with a pink-colored shirt, a cream Fedora hat, sunglasses, and a suit jacket. The post's caption read, "2 years ago today, these two tied the knot. Today we celebrated their about to be here baby girl. So excited."
