Shakira Rises Above Legal Issues To Celebrate 8 More Awards To Her Cabinet

The acclaimed singer, who recently moved with her sons to Miami after separating from their father, Gerard Piqué, proves that her dedication to her craft and humanitarian efforts remains unwavering. 

In a glorious moment, the "Hips Don't Lie" singer claimed eight awards at Premios Juventud 2023 in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Taking to her Instagram page, the 46-year-old uploaded a video of herself in a stylish red mini-dress, her long blonde hair flowing gracefully as she delivered a powerful, heartfelt speech. 

Translated from Spanish, she acknowledged the honor bestowed upon her, humbly recognizing the efforts of her dedicated team at the Pies Descalzos Foundation, led by Patricia Sierra. 

She emphasized that this recognition was not just for herself but for everyone involved in the mission to create positive change. The mother-of-two noted that while superficial things like social media filters exist, they could not mask how some born into poverty often remain trapped in a cycle of poverty due to limited access to quality education. 

Shakira passionately emphasized that anyone can be an agent of change and encouraged the youth to be unapologetically passionate about making the world better. In the caption her translated caption read:

"To be an "agent of change" you just have to distinguish what is right from what is wrong, believe that if it is possible to change things and not let anyone tell you otherwise, and that is power. #PremiosJuventud."

Amidst her joyous achievements at the ceremony, the actress had two special people to share the moment with — her beloved sons Sasha and Milan. In another Instagram post, the "Whenever, Wherever" songstress shared a carousel of pictures, including one that showed the trio locked in a heartwarming embrace. She wrote in the caption, "Moments to remember! Gracias @premiosjuventud ! ?@nicolasgerardin.” 

Prior to the recent accolades she received at Premios Juventud 2023, Shakira faced another development, as news emerged about her involvement in a second tax fraud case in Spain.

The Spanish court disclosed that she is now under investigation for alleged income and wealth tax fraud in 2018. Situated in the town of Esplugues de Llobregat, near Barcelona, they released a statement regarding the matter. However, specific details were not included in the message, and the prosecutor did not respond to requests for comment. 

The songwriter's legal team stated that she had yet to be formally notified about the new case and was made aware of it through the media. Furthermore, her legal representatives clarified that she currently resides in Miami and that any notifications related to the case must be personally delivered to her new address. 

Emphasizing her stance, they reiterated that the "Dreamland" guest star has consistently maintained her adherence to the law and has sought advice from top tax experts throughout, adding, "She is now focused on her artistic life in Miami and is calm and confident that her tax affairs will be resolved favorably."

The "Waka Waka" songstress delighted fans when her two talented sons took part in the performance of her new song titled "Acróstico," which translates to "acrostic" in English.

The lyrics resonate deeply, considering the heart-wrenching breakup she went through with Piqué, seeing as rumors of infidelity surrounded the footballer throughout their relationship. According to the "Beautiful Liar" singer, the youngsters had eagerly requested to be a part of the song, making their involvement even more special and endearing.

In the video, the young boys showcased their musical talents, taking turns skillfully playing the piano and singing the chorus, "You cure my pain / You make me feel better / I'm here for whatever you need / You came to complete what I am." 

Meanwhile, Sharika poured her emotions into the powerful lyrics, singing, "You taught me that love is not a scam, and that when it's real it doesn't end / I tried to stop you from seeing me cry, I didn't want you to see my fragility."   

Fans will recall that in June 2022, they officially confirmed their breakup through a joint statement. In the face of adversity, she sought solace in her music and the loving support of her children, relying on them to help navigate the challenging times.
