'They Have A Baby! She's A Wreck'
Per Page Six, Slater's wife Jay was "completely blindsided" by the relationship between her allegedly estranged husband and Grande.
Recent reports revealed that Slater and the "Thank You, Next" singer grew their connection on the set of "Wicked," with both stars rumored to have been an item after the "SpongeBob SquarePants" actor split from Jay.
Now, sources have claimed that the entire ordeal has turned Jay, who shares a child with Slater, into an emotional wreck.
"It's horrible. They were high school sweethearts. They have a baby! She's a wreck," a source told the publication.
While it's unclear if Jay and Slater had earlier issues, sources have claimed that Grande played a part in their "break up now when nothing appeared wrong between them."
As of now, neither Slater nor Grande have addressed the rumors about their relationship, which has left fans and the media curious and eager for confirmation.
Ethan Slater And Ariana Grande Are Allegedly Dating
The report on Slater's wife being "blindsided" comes after a source told TMZ that Grande and Slater started dating several months into their time on the set of "Wicked."
Speculation about their romantic involvement arose in March when a photo of the "Wicked" cast celebrating Michelle Yeoh's Oscar win in London circulated widely. The picture captured Grande and Slater sitting closely together, with his arm affectionately wrapped around her.
Two months later, he was seen praising Jay in an Instagram post to celebrate Mother's Day.
"Happy first Mother's Day to the most loving caring and wonderful mom/person in the world," he penned along with a picture of their son's hands, per Page Six.
Since then, Slater, who has been married to Jay since 2018, has gone quiet on social media and has even set his Instagram page to private mode.
Ariana Grande Deletes Wedding Pictures Of Her Husband
In the meantime, Grande recently deleted wedding pictures of her and her husband, Dalton Gomez, from her social media. She also took down the photos she uploaded for their anniversary in May, which had the caption, "I love him so."
The duo had reportedly separated earlier this year and "been quietly and lovingly working on their friendship," suggesting that they hope to remain amicable despite their separation.
It is still unclear what led to their split, but sources claimed that they had been "having some issues" even before Grande got busy with filming commitments for "Wicked."
A report noted that Grande is "determined to move forward," and her decision has been well received by her family and friends.
"As sad as it is, the consensus on both sides is that this is ultimately for the best. Ariana and Dalton are two very different people," a source told Us Weekly.
Fans Previously Speculated About The Duo's Split
Fans started to suspect that there might be trouble in the relationship when Grande was seen without her ring in a makeup tutorial she shared on TikTok last August.
However, the singer quickly denied having any issues with Gomez, urging fans to refrain from speculating and respect their privacy.
"I'm just not wearing my wedding ring, it's getting cleaned. I'm not getting a divorce before you start, don't," she said, per People.
Those speculations once again arose in March this year after the viral picture of her with Slater. They were further fueled by her appearance at Sunday's Wimbledon event with co-star Jonathan Bailey, sans her wedding ring.
She shared photos from the event, which immediately led to the internet buzzing about her personal life. A day later, it was confirmed that she and Gomez had parted ways, according to Us Weekly.
