Jamie Foxx Shoots A New Commercial
Jamie Foxx seems to have recovered his health significantly after his April medical emergency. The "Django Unchained" actor is reportedly back in front of a camera shooting a campaign ad for BetMGM, a sports betting company associated with MGM Resorts.
According to TMZ, Foxx looked really happy while shooting the commercial inside a golden-colored Formula One race car.
The actor also posted a new photo from the campaign on his Instagram page. He's collaborating with the company for its football commercials and other sports-related activities.
A source close to Foxx spoke to People Magazine about the photo and said he "was in Vegas over the past few days."
"That photo is current. Jamie was putting in really long days and was spot on," the source adds of the photoshoot. "It was like nothing happened. You would have never known [he had a health issue]."
The picture Foxx shared showed him posing in the bright gold race car, wearing a black suit and tie. He captioned it, "Thankful for my @betmgm family and a great few nights in Vegas. We got BIG things coming soon."
Jamie Foxx Is Still Recovering From A Medical Emergency
His post from the BetMGM campaign is Foxx's first photo of himself since his hospitalization in April. The actor previously came online in May to show appreciation to his fans who had expressed concern over his health status.
Foxx's hospitalization first became public news when his daughter, Corinne, made an announcement on April 11th. She revealed that he'd "experienced a medical complication" while filming "Back in Action" for Netflix alongside Cameron Diaz. Corinne wrote that "quick action and great care" had put Foxx "on his way to recovery" quickly.
In May, Corinne made another statement on social media, denying that the Foxx family was "preparing for the worst" amid the actors health crisis. She wrote, "Update from the family: Sad to see how the media runs wild. My Dad has been out of the hospital for weeks, recuperating. In fact, he was playing pickleball yesterday!"
Jamie Foxx Threw A Party To Celebrate His Recovery
The "Annie" actor has been spotted on multiple outings of late. He was photographed playing pickleball at a Topgolf location in Chicago and then was seen on a boat cruise on the Chicago River. A source also revealed to People that Foxx threw a party to celebrate his health recovery.
The "Ray" actor had the party at his rehabilitation center in Chicago. The source said that Foxx "has been working really hard these last couple of months to get back to normal and has greatly improved since he first got to the facility." However, they noted that he is still undergoing "outpatient rehab" at the facility.
He Helped A Woman Recover Her Missing Bag
Last week, Foxx was recorded being a Good Samaritan to a woman who'd lost her handbag. The footage showed the "Just Mercy" actor pulling up in a black SUV to return Terri "Quenni" Glenn's purse after she lost it around the Chicano Bean sculpture.
Glenn spoke to People about her encounter with Foxx. She said she was with her two sisters and didn't realize the bag was missing until Foxx brought it to her. She said, "I wanted to ask Jamie where he found the purse. I didn't even know it fell out."
Glenn also revealed that she asked the actor about his health and he confirmed that he's recovering. She said, "I said, 'Jamie! Jamie!" I said, 'Are you feeling good?' and he said, 'I'm feeling good.'"
