Cristiano Ronaldo has become the Instagram G.O.A.T!
The Portuguese star, who now lives in Saudi Arabia, has leapfrogged several celebrities and notable figures to become the highest-earning individual on The Instagram Rich List, compiled by HopperHQ. The list, which ranks people based on how much they can charge for a sponsored post, placed the beloved football star ahead of Kylie Jenner and multiple other celebs.
Cristiano Ronaldo Outearns Kylie Jenner With His Sponsored Posts On Instagram
At 38, Cristiano Ronaldo has solidified his position as one of the highest-earning influencers on social media. With an impressive following of 597 million and undeniable global appeal, he now commands a staggering $2.4 million per sponsored post, surpassing Jenner, who herself is a social media powerhouse, earning $1.88 million per post.
The renowned footballer's Instagram feed has become a prime platform for promoting various brands, including the sports website LiveScore, the wellness brand Therabody, and the cryptocurrency brand Binance. This feat is nothing new for the father-of-five, who previously secured a prestigious spot on the 2019 Instagram Rich List, ranking third and earning around $970,000 per sponsored post.
Similarly, Jenner's Instagram presence extends beyond her massive following of 397 million, thanks to her successful brands, including Kylie Swim and Kylie Cosmetics. Additionally, as Daily Mail noted, the business mogul has collaborations with luxury French fashion brand Jean Paul Gaultier, firmly establishing herself as a prominent force in the influencer world.
In the most recent 2022 Rich List, football legend Lionel Messi claimed the third spot, earning an impressive $1.77 million per sponsored post. Singer and actress Selena Gomez followed closely in fourth place, commanding $1.73 million for each post.
Jenner's big sister, Kim Kardashian, also made it into the top ten, earning a substantial $1.68 million per sponsored post. At the same time, Ariana Grande landed at the seventh spot, following the Skims co-founder, earning $1.7 million per sponsored post. Beyoncé, on the other hand, holds a strong position, making $1.38 million for each post.
Notably, Khloe Kardashian and Jenner joined the ranks, securing the ninth and tenth spots, respectively. Meanwhile, wrestler-turned-actor Dwayne Johnson secured the fifth position with $1.33 million, far from where he was previously.
According to The Blast, he landed the number one spot in 2021, earning $1.02 million per sponsored post. However, he lost the top spot last year when CR7 came in hot with his $1.6 million per post win. Another significant change in the list is Jenner's position, as she was number two in 2020, earning $986,000 per post, and then number four in 2021, with an earning of $1.5 million.
Other big names for last year's list include Gomez at number five, Kim at number six, Lionel Messi at spot seven, Beyoncé at eight, Justin Bieber at nine, and Kendall Jenner ending the top ten.
The Viva Ronaldo Creator Bagged His Instagram Milestone Last Year
In case you missed it, Cristiano Ronaldo overtook other heavyweights to become the most followed person in the world last November. With that status, The Blast observed that he had left his longtime rival Messi in the dust as the second-most followed person in the world with 376 million followers (now 480 million).
Although Kylie was in third place with 372 million followers, she has now been kicked to number four by Gomez, who was previously at that spot. While the cosmetics mogul currently has 397 million followers, the "Only Murders in the Building" actress has 426 million – a spike from her 357 million followership count for 2022.
In sixth place was Johnson with 348 million – now 387 admirers – beating Grande, who now has 377 million followers – by eight million followers. In the eighth spot was Kim with 334 million – currently 362 million, while Beyoncé and Khloe held the number nine and ten spots – Queen Bey at 283 million – now 314 million, and the "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" alum at 280 million followers, currently 310 million.
With the impressive names on the list, it is pretty clear that Ronaldo is not only doing something right but has the unrelenting support of his fanbase, despite the drama between him and his former team Manchester United.
