Madonna is grateful for the gift of her life.

The singer recently took to Instagram to thank her 19 million fans for their support, along with a cute picture of herself holding some pink roses.

It comes after the singer was hospitalized for a severe bacterial infection, which kept her out of commission for several days.

Taking to Instagram, Madonna expressed her heartfelt appreciation to her fans for their unwavering support all the while she was dealing with a health scare.

The singer was previously admitted to the ICU of an undisclosed hospital on June 24 after contracting a severe bacterial infection.

The illness kept her off social media for several weeks, and she marked her return by uploading a picture of herself holding a beautiful bouquet of pink roses while resting her head gently on them.

She included an emotionally charged quote alongside the image: "A single rose can be my garden. A single friend my world. Thank You."

In a previous Instagram post, the singer opened up about her health scare and revealed details that might help explain why she kept the illness under wraps despite its severity.

She noted that she was worried about disappointing people who had purchased tickets and made plans to attend the North American leg of her tour, which eventually had to be put on hold.

"My first thought when I woke up in the hospital was my children. My second thought was that I did not want to disappoint anyone who bought tickets for my tour," Madonna penned.

She added, "I also didn't want to let down the people who worked tirelessly with me over the last few months to create my show. I hate to disappoint anyone."

'Everyone Believed That We May Lose Her'

Per the Daily Mail, the severity of Madonna's illness became known after one of the singer's relatives shared that the female icon's health was unstable for a lot of the days she spent in the ICU.

"No one really knew which direction this was going to turn, and her family was preparing for the worst," said the source. "Everyone believed that we may lose her and that has been the reality of the situation."

Hence, it is not surprising that Madonna's manager, Guy Oseary, disclosed last month that they had made the decision to "pause all commitments."

Madonna had scheduled her tour to commence on July 15 at the Rogers Arena in Vancouver, with a planned duration of 85 days.
