Ricky Martin Shares 'Surprise' Moment His Twins Jumped On Stage With Him

International superstar Ricky Martin welcomes some truly special guests up on stage in his latest performance.

In a whirlwind of pure delight, the crowd witnessed an unforgettable display of family love and talent as the singer's twins shared the limelight with their proud father. The star, currently amid a divorce from his partner Jean Yosef, was pleasantly surprised by the gesture. 

The 51-year-old was caught off guard during his electrifying performance at the Piazza Grande in Locarno, Switzerland, when his boys, Matteo and Valentino, made a rare and heartwarming public appearance.

Captured in a touching video, the "Livin' La Vida Loca" hitmaker's 14-year-olds joined him on stage, delighting their father and the audience with their energetic dance moves. Overwhelmed with joy, Martin took to Instagram to share the precious moment, writing alongside the clip:

"What a beautiful surprise! When my twins jumped on stage with me for the first time in Locarno, Switzerland ?? . #Matteo y #Valentino ?." 

It was a moment that melted hearts and ignited sheer joy for fans worldwide who could not help but proclaim it was "The best video of Ricky's entire career."

While everyone was happy to see the teenagers bond with their dad, they are not the only children the "Me Amaras" artist shares with his estranged husband. 

Apparently, Martin has been vocal about his lifelong yearning for a large family and the obstacles he faced due to societal perceptions of his sexuality. In an interview, the songwriter stated:

"Many years I dreamt of being a father, and many, many, many times I went through this grieving process of 'I am gay, I am a closeted gay man, and I'm not going to be able to be a daddy." 

The "Vuelve" singer embarked on his journey as a single father, welcoming the twins into his life in 2008 through the help of a surrogate. As his family grew, so did his love story when he tied the knot with Yosef in 2017. 

A few years after their marriage, the couple experienced the joy of welcoming their other children. Daughter Lucia, and son Renn, were both born via surrogate, their births occurring only nine months apart.

The pair, who exchanged vows in an intimate ceremony in 2017, disclosed their decision to separate after six years of marriage. The news came as a surprising and unexpected development, as the couple had been highly regarded as influential figures in the LGBTQ+ community.

In a modern-day love story, Martin and Yosef reportedly connected on Instagram in 2015. The virtual meeting blossomed into a romantic relationship shortly after before getting engaged in 2016. 

Although persistent rumors surrounding their relationship had been circulating over time, the former lovebirds officially confirmed the existence of troubles in their union. In a heartfelt joint statement, they stated:

"We have decided to end our marriage with love, respect, and dignity for our children and honoring what we have experienced as a couple all these wonderful years."

The message continued, "Our greatest desire now is to continue having a healthy family dynamic and a relationship centered on peace and friendship to continue the joint upbringing of our children, preserving the respect and love we have for each other." 

Their decision left a wave of disappointment and sadness among their devoted fans, who took to social media to express their sorrow and words of encouragement. One supporter conveyed their well-wishes, stating, "Always heartbreaking when people can't make it work. Wish them the best Ricky always seemed like a sweet person all the way from his telenovela days." 

Another fan, expressing a hopeful perspective translated from Spanish, commented, "No one gets married thinking about getting divorced, but I think that real happiness lies in coming across these uncomfortable points, knowing that love can transcend regardless of the situation."
