Nicole Kidman Defends Wearing Racy Miu-Miu Outfit
Speaking to Stellar magazine on Sunday, Kidman defended her racy outfit for the cover of Vanity Fair's February 2022 issue.
For the photo shoot, she boldly wore a Miu Miu micro skirt and bralette top that evoked the daring aesthetic of a school uniform.
However, the look, one of the fashion house's controversial 2022 collections of skin-revealing schoolgirl attire, caused an online uproar, with multiple fans slamming the actress for wearing it.

Now, Kidman has explained that she doesn't allow the opinions of critics to dictate her creative choices in her career and remains unapologetic and ready to express herself freely whenever she wants.
"I make the most random, crazy choices. I call them 'teenage choices' because I don't ever think of consequences," Kidman told the publication, per the Daily Mail.
She added, "Part of my brain just doesn't think like that. I go, 'Oh, I'm going to wear that; it reminds me of my school uniform.' Or 'Oh my God, yeah, I'd love to do that."
She Says It Was Her Choice To Wear The Miu Miu Outfit
As to whether she was compelled to don the attire for the shoot, Kidman revealed later in the interview that it was her choice.
"That was my choice. And yeah, I own it. I'm accountable. Whatever. I take responsibility. Nobody else chose it [the Miu Miu skirt]," the actress said.
It comes after she made the same claim during her appearance for Vogue Australia's June 2022 issues, a few months after the Vanity Fair cover.
At the time, she shared that upon arriving at the photo shoot, she immediately fell in love with the Miu Miu ensemble when she saw it. This led her to decline to wear the alternative outfit initially selected for her.
Kidman further revealed that her decision to opt for the Miu Miu outfit surprised stylist Katie Grand, who had to confirm if the actress intended to go with that choice.
Nicole Kidman Sizzles At Screening For Upcoming Series
Earlier in the month, Kidman again donned another racy outfit while screening her upcoming Paramount series "Special Ops: Lioness" in London. The series is set to debut later this month and also features Zoe Saldaña and Morgan Freeman.
For the event, she wore a sexy cutout black gown designed by Saint Laurent that showed off her arms and toned abs.
The upper portion of the outfit, resembling a skewed bow tie, featured a rosette detail and was held up by a delicate strap around the actress' neck. The ensemble also boasted a sheer train, which Kidman flawlessly accompanied with a pair of thin gloves.
Nicole also came glammed up in minimal makeup and tied back her hair in a low ponytail, with a few cascading strands framing her face.
Nicole Kidman On Raising Her Younger Daughters
From the spotlight, Kidman spends time with her husband, Keith Urban, and their daughters, Sunday Rose, 15, and Faith Margaret, 12.
In a rare interview, The "Paddington" actress opened up about the challenges of raising her younger daughters, who are decades apart from her older children, Isabella, 30, and Connor, 28, with ex-husband Tom Cruise.
She said, per Hello magazine, "As a parent, you're the wall. They want to hold onto you and know you're there, and then when they kick off, they want to know you're there, too."
Earlier in the interview, she mentioned that creativity runs deep in her family, resulting in a constant flow of ideas shared within their household.
"There's a lot of great energy in our house and different ideas that bounce around from all walks of life," the actress said, adding, "Everyone has their voice, and I think it keeps you engaged in what's happening in the world."
