Get Ready, Bachelor Nation: 'The Golden Bachelor' Is Coming!

Bachelor Nation finally has the chance to show viewers that love has no expiration date!

The 'Bachelor' franchise has been teasing a new spin for its programming for three years.

Back in the early pandemic days of 2020, the franchise began airing commercials urging seniors to apply for "The Golden Bachelor," a new show focusing on those who are, let's say, no longer in their thirties, to find an eternal flame to spend their golden years with.

"The Golden Bachelor" finally got a step closer to its goal in May, when the franchise revealed the show would be airing in the Fall of 2023. According to our report on the golden date, many Bachelor Nation fans weren't excited about the big reveal.

Bachelor Nation will soon find out if the saying "All that glitters is gold" is indeed true on Monday, July 17th, when the franchise drops a second bit of big news regarding the new show!

One Ms. Taylor Swift sang "I once believed love would be burning red, but it's golden" in 2019's "Golden," from the LP "Lover," and in this case, she would be right.

The official Instagram account for "The Golden Bachelor" teased a reel on Wednesday featuring golden roses with the caption, "Looking to the future through rose gold lenses. Our first ever Golden Bachelor will be revealed this Monday."

The future Mrs. Zach Shallcross, Kaity Biggar, commented "SO EXCITED !!! ? ? ❤️"

However, the jokes were a-plenty from the Bachelor Nation peanut gallery.

"This can’t be at 9 PM the seniors simply won’t be awake to watch it," a fan wrote.

"This is gotta air on Tuesday at 1PM so the seniors can add it to their rotation of soaps," another weighed in.

"Not The Bachelor trying anything and everything to be in the spotlight again after letting go of Chris H ?," a viewer commented.

A skeptical viewer commented, "The way I see it, this could one of two ways. Either the cat fights between the women will be worse, OR the cat fights won't be as fun to watch."

"I want to see a Bachelor/Bachelorette show with 40s, people who should definitely be ready for marriage. 20s is possible to be ready but 30s even and 40s for sure," a Bachelor Nation viewer said.

The official Instagram account for "The Golden Bachelor" delivered once again on Friday afternoon. Fans were treated to a reel featuring a close-up of the lucky man, which stops right before we see his face!

Bachelor Nation fans were just as quick to weigh in.

"I’m gonna be really upset if their idea of “golden” is like 45 ?," a viewer said.

"Neil Lane...?" a viewer asked.

"Those hands have too much collagen to be considered golden," a follower pointed out.
