According to reports, he died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Unfortunately, for the family, in January 2023, they lost another family member — Lisa Marie, the mother of Keough.

This user expressed, "And a bright note to the day! Your firstborn grandchild is nominated for an Emmy ❤️❤️❤️ if only her mama and brother could be here with her to celebrate 🥺❤️."

As mentioned above, Presley's touching tribute came hours after her first grandchild, Riley Keough reverenced her late younger brother and her mother, Lisa Marie, in a remembrance post. Riley took to her Instagram Story to post a monochrome photo of the great singer smiling brightly at the camera while a younger Keough posed behind his mother, making a goofy face with his eyes crossed.

Conveying her feelings, she wrote on the cheerful image, "Missing you both," alongside a red heart emoji. Both the "Finding Graceland" actress and Riley's heart-rending post comes months after the pair came into an agreement to settle their legal dispute over Lisa Marie's estate.

Following the talented songstress's death, a fight ensued between the two women four days after the singer's memorial. Presley, infuriated by the terms of the trust, contested the 2016 amendment that removed her and the singer's former business manager as co-trustees, thereby giving control to Riley, and her late younger brother, Keough.

Fortunately for the grandmother and granddaughter duo, they were able to come to an agreement over Lisa Marie's estate. Attorneys representing Presley and Riley successfully negotiated a settlement at a courthouse in Los Anesday.
