Zayn Malik Addresses Yolanda Hadid's 'Shoving' Allegation
While reflecting on the alleged shoving incident during his appearance on the "Call Her Daddy" podcast, Malik emphasized his reluctance to engage in online discussions or justify himself.
He said, "I don't get involved when people talk online. My most valuable thing for me is time and I don't want to justify myself. I knew what the situation was and I knew what happened and the people involved know what happened and that's all that matters."
The "Pillowtalk" singer continued, "I didn't want to bring attention and I didn't want to get a negative back and forth with her [or] any sort of narrative for my daughter to eventually read. I believe I dealt with it in the best way and that's all that needs to be said. It was a lot of negativity." He added, "They're family issues I'd rather keep in the family. I'm very hands-on with my child, if I could have 60 percent I would take it."
Zayn Malik Was Charged With Four Counts Of HarassmentÂ
Malik's altercation with his daughter's grandmother led to him being charged with four counts of harassment. He allegedly pushed Yolanda Hadid into a dresser and used derogatory language towards her by calling her a "f**king Dutch sl*t."
The 30-year-old former One Direction star pleaded no contest to the charges. According to court documents, per Daily Mail, Malik was sentenced to 360 days of probation and required to attend an anger management class.
Zayn Malik Wants To Give His Daughter As Much Privacy As Possible
During his podcast interview, Malik also opened up about his co-parenting relationship with his ex, Hadid, mainly focusing on their daughter Khai. The pop singer stated, "Co-parenting is good, yeah. We have a really good relationship with Khai. She is the main importance. It's going well, I think."
Malik emphasized his desire to provide his daughter with as much privacy as possible. He explained that he aimed to shield her from the pressures of fame, as she did not choose that lifestyle for herself.
"I'm not shielding her from it because she's going to get to an age where she has a certain amount of awareness and will know what's going on," he explained, per Daily Mail. "I'm trying to give her an option and choose if she wants to be away from it she can come here. She will have a lot of options and whatever she wants to do in life, she can do."
Malik also revealed how much he cherishes the time he spends with his daughter, saying, "When I'm with her, I don't work. I spend the full day with her doing things she wants to do like painting, park, the zoo, and having fun."

The singer disclosed that he sensed political tensions brewing within the group, with certain individuals hesitating to sign contracts. Recognizing this, Malik made the proactive choice to leave, perceiving that their collective journey had concluded.
