Fans may be ready to cancel Jonah Hill, but Meghan McCain is taking the innocent until proven guilty approach. The columnist came to the actor's defense after his ex-girlfriend dragged him for being a "misogynist."

The past few days have been heated following Sarah Brady's alleged claims about the Hollywood sensation's personality. The professional surfer threw her former lover under the bus for causing their separation with his alleged emotionally abusive ways.

The social media personality's accusations came a year after the duo's romance ended, a timing the late John McCain's daughter found too good to be a coincidence. Like her signature fiery style of spelling out the truth from her perspective, the blonde beauty criticized the younger woman for spinning a self-flattering tale.

Before the public threw their stones at the alleged emotional abuser, McCain implored netizens to "review the evidence" while keeping in mind that the "era of the blanket 'believe women' mantra is over."

The "Bad Republican" author aired her doubts about Brady's accusations, stating that Hill did not appear to be "anything like the monster his ex portrays him to be." She concluded after viewing the former couple's private text messages, which the surfer leaked over the weekend.

One of the conversations, which the columnist addressed, featured the actor's list of "boundaries." In the message, the 39-year-old stated he considered himself unsuitable as Brady's partner if his then-girlfriend was comfortable surfing and having "boundaryless inappropriate friendships" with other men.

Additionally, he was against the influencer posting sexual pictures like bathing suits on social media and spending time with female friends from her "wild recent past." McCain applauded Hill for spelling out his needs: "He essentially told her: if you don't like my lifestyle or my expectations, we probably shouldn't be together."

Despite the "War Dogs" star's clear stance on the matter, it appeared the internet personality did not take the hint during their relationship. Calling out the athlete for inciting the public against the Oscar nominee with the leaked text messages, the Arizona native penned:

"Brady is acting like a martyr. She claims she released the private texts as a 'warning to all girls' and called on Hill's friends to 'hold him accountable.' I'm unsure what that means, but it sounds threatening."

"Does she want him excluded from the entertainment industry, his career ruined, his reputation destroyed?" McCain wondered, reminding fans that Brady had released these messages "without context" after Hill welcomed a child with his new girlfriend, Olivia Millar.

According to the "Dirty Sexy Politics" author, the surf instructor claimed she had waited until Millar had her child because she did not want the new mom to be affected by her message. Additionally, Brady wanted Hill's girlfriend to be "informed and make an informed decision of how she wants to care for herself and her baby."

"Here Brady is admitting to being manipulative – timing her release for maximum effect," McCain explained. The former "The View" panelist ended her message with advice to the ever-hungry masses ready to cancel celebrities.

The media personality stressed: "No one should be judged unfairly. Maybe we'll learn more that'll convince me to change my opinion about Jonah Hill. But I say we give him the benefit of the doubt."

According to "The Real Housewives of New York City" alum, the younger actor allegedly had an inflated ego and gave her zero respect during their time on a TV program. The interaction left the 52-year-old feeling belittled as her self-esteem took a brutal beating.

Addressing the text messages that Brady released, the Skinnygirl founder described the conversation as "crazy." However, the mother of one clarified that she was not in the surfer's corner, given how there were two sides to every story.
