The legal dispute over the vineyard, Château Miraval, located in the picturesque southern region of France, has been ongoing since Pitt and Jolie's highly publicized split in 2016. The couple, once known as "Brangelina," had purchased the vineyard in 2011, and it became one of their most significant joint assets in a 50/50 partnership with winemaker Marc Perrin.

According to the recent court filings, Pitt is portrayed as acting like a "petulant child" for "looting" and squandering the vineyard's profits on vanity projects instead of responsibly managing the asset, per the Daily Mail.

In the court filing, the "Bullet Train" actor allegedly acted like a "petulant child" and engaged in a "blatant money grab." Jolie's legal team argues that this behavior demonstrates a blatant disregard for their previous business partnership and has slammed him for donning himself a winemaker, noting instead he "deals in illusions, not dirt and grapes."

According to the Daily Mail, Pitt allegedly wasted profits from the French vineyard, Château Miraval, on seemingly vanity projects. The latest court documents filed by Jolie's lawyers claim that the actor diverted substantial sums of money from the vineyard's earnings towards personal endeavors that served no practical purpose.

In the legal filings, he has been accused of using the profits to fund extravagant and unnecessary renovation projects on the estate. These ventures allegedly included lavish additions and modifications to various areas of the property, including the pool, an ornate staircase, and the building of a recording studio.

In a recent revelation about their business deal, Jolie and Pitt seemingly reached an agreement regarding purchasing her stake in their joint business venture. However, the value hit a roadblock when Pitt attempted to include a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) preventing Jolie from publicly discussing a widely reported argument between the former couple in 2016 while they were aboard a private jet with their children, per Vanity Fair.

The news outlet made the revelation after interviewing their former head of security, winemakers, real estate brokers, and other sources with insider knowledge about the couple's dealings in the south of France.

On the other hand, Pitt's representatives maintained that the NDA was Jolie's idea, and she only opted out of the deal when she started negotiations on the agreement.

The "Tomb Raider" actress went on to sell her stakes in the winery to Russian billionaire Yuri Shefler, which Pitt alleged she "secretly" carried out to "severely damage" him and "enrich herself" as a way of getting back at him.

According to the Daily Mail, the "World War Z" actor was blindsided by Jolie's actions regarding the sale of her share in Miraval, as he reportedly had no prior knowledge of her plot and only learned about it through a 2021 press release.

Although the former couple had a "mutual and binding commitment" not to sell the property without the other's permission, Pitt claimed that Jolie breached the terms of his first refusal rights if she wanted to sell. She instead opted to secretly sell to Tenute del Mondo, a Russia-affiliated spirits company controlled by billionaire Shefler.

Pitt alleged that by doing so, she linked the Chateau Miraval to Russia, its homophobic laws, and the invasion of Ukraine - potentially tarnishing the reputation of its highly regarded rosé.
