Singer Britney Spears is letting her own basketball skills be known after she was slapped by a security guard following San Antonio Spurs player Victor Wembanyama last week.
The incident happened outside the Catch restaurant at the ARIA Hotel in Las Vegas. As security footage shows, Britney went to ask the NBA star for a photo and tapped him on the shoulder. His security guard "backhanded" her, but will face no criminal charges for the incident. The 41-year-old pop star went on to say that she is still a "huge fan" of the athlete, even if her fans trolled his disappointing NBA debut on Friday night.

On Monday afternoon, the "Hold Me Closer" singer took to Instagram to share a video of a few children playing basketball, which she credited to @courtsidefilms in the caption. Despite being a huge fan of the NBA star, Britney made it clear that she can hold her own on the court.
In the caption, she explained that she posts a lot of dancing videos on her Instagram page, but she was a point guard when she played in school. "Funny people see me dancing a lot 💃🏼 … IN SCHOOL I didn’t dance or cheerlead … I was a point guard ⛹🏼♀️ !!!" she wrote.
"I called all the plays and I was fast as h*ll cause I was like a mouse 🐭 … I couldn’t shoot as well as I handled the ball 🏀!!!" she went on to say. "The rush of the game THE UNKNOWN … no set ups … the tricks … the FAKES … the ball … baby can f*cking play !!!"
Although comments on her Instagram post were disabled, fans know how well she can play! She handled her own on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" in the early 2000s in a clip that has gone viral after Wembanyama's disappointing start in the NBA.

However, it seems not everyone agrees as to who would win in a one-on-one match-up. One tweet from a Britney fan account read, "Retweet if you think Britney Spears could beat Victor Wembanyama in 1:1." The fan tweeted, "Wemby would slap her in a 1v1 stop playing."

Victor Wembanyama Plans To 'Disappear from the Media' For A While
Although he was the number-one overall pick in the NBA, he might have been a little shaken by all of the Britney fans coming for him on social media on Friday. On Twitter, Tomer Azarly shared a video of the San Antonio Spurs player saying that he wanted to focus on his basketball career and stay out of the media spotlight for a while.
“In the past month, I think basketball wasn't even 50% of my schedule. I can't stand it," he said in the video. "I know it's a special moment in my life, but I'm glad it's over ... I just wanna hoop."
