Will Smith Teases Son Jaden About Fatherhood In Sweet Birthday Post

Will Smith is ready to be a grandad!

The superstar used the opportunity to celebrate his second son's birthday, Jaden Smith, to ask about the progress of his getting a grandbaby. The hilarious post automatically caught the attention of his millions of followers and fans, with some expressing how relatable Will's request was in the comments.

Will, who is also father to two other kids — son Trey and daughter Willow, reminded fans of his pride in Jaden when he took to social media to mark the latter's 25th birthday on Saturday, July 8.

The "Emancipated" star uploaded a black-and-white image that showed him putting one hand around the "Neo Yokio" anime voice actor's shoulders as they stood close and looked down at a piece of paper.

Jaden, who was holding the paper, donned a white shirt with long buttoned sleeves, while his dad wore a short-sleeved vest and neutral-toned bottoms. Below the sweet shot, Will quipped:

"Happy Birthday, J-Diggy. It's crazy that you're 25?!?! When I was 25 I had a 2 yr. old... I'm just sayin. Wha's up? What you doin' over there?"

The "I Am Legend" actor wrapped up by revealing that the vintage photo "is my favorite picture of us." Within seconds, one fan responded, "Will wants grandkids. People wait til 40 to have kids now," and another retorted, "The 2 yr old...you had at 25...should be the one giving you a grandchild....?," referring to Trey, who is Will's 31-year-old son with his first wife, Sheree Zampino.

"Our generation waiting til we grown a** adults before kids lol," a third person commented, as a fourth wrote, "These adults kids aren't having any kids anytime soon ? they're enjoying life as they should." A fifth netizen queried, "So yall parents be the same? U guys learn this statement in school?"

Will's wife, Jada Pinkett Smith, also joined in the festivities by dropping two images of her and their baby boy via her Instagram feed. While the first slide was a throwback view of the "Angel Has Fallen" actress kissing Jaden as a toddler, the second showcased them posing for the paparazzi beside each other at an event.

She kept her caption simple, typing, "Happy 25th my sweet, sweet Jaden!?." The post has since gotten over 59k likes, and it comes nearly two birthdays after The Blast highlighted the celebrant's savvy business side. 

Per the article, the Grammy Awards nominee's entrepreneurial spirit began rearing its head in 2015, when he started 'Just Water' — a company that handles spring water production in cartons instead of its harmful plastic counterpart.

Jaden's creativity also manifested in shoemaking when he joined forces with 'New Balance,' a well-known company already in that field. He then attended the outfit's shoe school at its Skowhegan, Maine training facility. 

There, he learned the significance of hand production — which is that — it ensures that the company's signature look remains intact. With his newly acquired knowledge, the "Never Say Never" music video star kickstarted the production of his line of shoes, 'New Balance Racers.'

Last December, The Blast reported that Will had outed his three children and their punctuality levels on Instagram. Taped while filming an episode of his wife's Facebook Live show, the clip showed, "Let's see what time my kids get to Red Table Talk. I told them to be here at 1 pm to start filming at 2," across the screen.

Leading the pack was Willow, who arrived on set at 12:31 pm, followed by her older stepbrother Trey, whom their dad dubbed the "Most Dependable Son," arriving at 12:46 pm.

Although he came in last at 1:54 pm, Jaden strolled to the set, pairing a black jacket with a white shirt and blue jeans. The video ended with the "Enemy of the State" actor flipping the camera on himself and his brood, happily laughing. 

"Jaden is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to," the doting dad three stated under the post. Fans noted in the comments that they were on the multihyphenate's side with one joking, "Jaden likes to keep the tension and the mystery of what time he will arrive!"
