Actress Mayim Bialik is getting support from "Jeopardy!" fans after she opened up about her experience during a "terrifying" improv class.
Although she is now the co-host of "Jeopardy!" alongside Ken Jennings, "The Big Bang Theory" alum is still trying to push herself in new ways... and that includes an improv class!
'Jeopardy!' Co-Host Mayim Bialik Was 'Crying Inside' During 'Terrifying' Improv Class
In a video posted to TikTok, the "Blossom" child star revealed that she is doing improv classes to add to her growing resumé. In a thirty-second clip, she explained that she was afraid of doing something that she was uncomfortable with. However, as she kept doing it, she began to feel more comfortable with it.
"I'm terrified to do improv," she confessed in the short clip. "It's not a skill that's in my skill set. But I have participated in the Groundlings' improv show."
"It's terrifying and I'm crying inside, but I've actually done OK and even made some people laugh," she revealed. "The second time was so scary that I didn't go back for a while, but I recently went back and it was okay."
She then gave her followers some advice, adding, "Here's the thing. If you're terrified to do something, it means there's something to learn from it. So, absolutely do it. The worst that can happen is you'll cry yourself to sleep. But then it'll wear off and you'll do it again one day."
Fans Have Nothing But Support For The 'Jeopardy!' Co-Host!
Fans were quick to show their support for the actress. “Great advice,” one fan commented. “You are like a breath of fresh air in this crazy world,” another follower wrote. “You are extremely smart and talented and seem very down to earth!” a third fan chimed in. “I just love you. I’m glad you’re sharing yourself. Your characters are great and probably have a little of you sprinkled in, but it’s nice to see you,” another follower shared.
“I wanted to thank you for when you sang ‘One Day.’ That has become my absolute favorite song now,” another fan shared. “We love you on ‘Jeopardy!’. Your hosting has improved, your timing is impeccable, and you are styling,” another follower gushed, while another fan wrote, “I would love to see you on critical role.”
“Ditto! I just started a class too. I knew I needed to do it, especially as an actress. It’s an important muscle to develop,” another follower shared. “Proof we all need to do things we are terrified of!” another fan exclaimed. “I think you can do it. I have confidence in you,” another fan wrote. “You are multi-talented. I respect you so much. You’re a joy to listen to no matter what media access you use,” another follower chimed in.
“Proud of you!” another fan exclaimed. “I agree with you. Also… I think you are amazing!!!” another follower agreed. “Such great advice. Thank you. I just adore you,” another fan commented. “I just wanted to say I love you and you brighten my day!” another follower exclaimed as several fans pressed her with questions about the possibility of a "Blossom" reunion.
Will Mayim Bialik Return For A 'Blossom' Reboot?
Although a “Blossom” reboot has been talked about for years, nothing has ever seemed to come of it until now. In an April 2023 interview with Variety, Mayim revealed that not only has series creator Don Reo completed a script for a new pilot, but the whole cast is interested in returning to the show.
“The show was supposed to be Catcher in the Rye about a girl, which was unusual,” Bialik said of the show. “And we’d like to do a reboot that’s unusual. We’d like to do a single cam.” She also added, “All of the cast is on board,” most likely referring to Joey Lawrence, Jenna Von Oy, and Michael Stoyanov, as the three stars made a guest appearance on Bialik’s sitcom, “Call Me Kat.”
Sadly, "Call Me Kat" was canceled after three seasons, following the death of comedian Leslie Jordan.
