The official website for Threads is live as of this writing and features a countdown to its launch. Users can also access a QR code, which will take them to their respective app store to download the app.

According to NBC News, the description for Threads on the Apple store reads, "Threads is where communities come together to discuss everything from the topics you care about today to what'll be trending tomorrow."

It continues, "Whatever you're interested in, you can follow and connect directly with your favorite creators and others who love the same things- or build a loyal following to share your ideas, opinions, and creativity with the world."

A screenshot of the app's interface briefly became available via social media consultant Matt Navarra's Twitter earlier today, but, according to the outlet, it disappeared shortly after.

Independent. Ie says that the app will not be completely blocked from eventually launching as of this writing. The publication also revealed that insiders affiliated with the app's parent company Meta, reportedly believe there is currently "a lack of clarity contained in the EU's Digital Markets Act.
