Harry helped pioneer the emerging punk rock scene in New York City in the mid-seventies and soon rose to fame as a member of Blondie when the group reached global superstardom at the dawn of the 1980s.

Blondie's third album, "Parallel Lines," contains the band's staples "One Way Or Another," and the disco anthem "Heart Of Glass." Blondie would experiment with reggae and would release one of the first commercially successful rap songs with "Rapture."

Our goal was to be as exciting and cantankerous as possible. But I always considered myself in a partnership with [guitarist] Chris [Stein] and that I was trying to express the whole band's point of view..."
