Chris Evans is all about detoxifying his mind this Summer! Fans can forget about getting any updates from "Captain America" as the Marvel star is doing a social media cleanse.

The Hollywood sensation is one of the entertainment industry's sexiest men alive, known for captivating millions with his timeless appearance. Alongside his good looks, the 42-year-old has the skills to match his over two-decade-long career in the movie business.

Despite his numerous achievements, the Boston native is not stepping down from his pedestal anytime soon. To ensure his continued success, the "Ghosted" actor shut down his internet usage to realign his focus on the world outside his phone's screen.

The "Avengers: Endgame" star recently announced he was joining the ever-growing list of celebrities cutting back on their social media interactions. The Young Hollywood Award nominee updated fans about the temporary deactivation of his Twitter and Instagram accounts on both platforms.

On his IG story, the 42-year-old revealed fellow actor Taron Egerton's departure inspired his decision. Evans applauded the "Kingsman" star's candid farewell message, resharing the post while echoing similar sentiments about his need for an internet break.

The passionate note explained that social media had lost its intended purpose, becoming a "cycle" that was "a bit addictive." From frequently scrolling through contents, several important values were being lost in the sea of mesmerizing posts.

"I feel like my ability to sit and be present and read books and watch movies and even seek out the company of people I love is eroding as a result," the message read, noting that more productive activities could be achieved without social media distractions.

The motivational note continued: "I feel a bit removed from myself. And regarding work, I know I can do more, and IG is one of several impediments to me getting there."

In the post, the positive nature of social media was highlighted, specifically how fans could express their love for their favorite actors through the platform. However, this rainbow was not enough to overshadow the cons of the interactive sites.

"Thanks, everyone, for saying such nice things all the time. I so appreciate it, but I need to read the thoughts of strangers for a while; I'm not sure this stuff is very good for any of us," the powerful post concluded.

The lengthy confessional seemingly captured the "Knives Out" actor's thoughts as he appreciated the message with a sweet note. "Couldn't have said it better myself!!! Count me in. Going to take a little break. Much love, everyone!" the Boston native chimed in the overlay text.

Additionally, the Teen Choice Award winner confirmed his hiatus on Twitter, noting that the social media detox was his gift to himself this Summer. Evans' final message read, "Hey everyone, I'm treating myself to summer with less screen time, so I'm taking a little break from Twitter and IG. See you soon! Much love!"

Following his farewell messages, the "Captain America: Civil War" star has deactivated his social media accounts. This meant fans would no longer be blessed with fun relationship updates from the Boston native and his partner, Alba Baptista.

Months before he announced his social media hiatus, the Hollywood heartthrob made headlines for his adorable relationship with his girlfriend. Earlier in January, the 42-year-old shared a video compilation of his fun moments with Baptista from 2022.

The "Not Another Teen Movie" star, who has experienced his fair share of relationship downs, seemed happy in his romance with the younger actress. As seen in the footage, captioned “A look back at 2022,” the pair pranked each other on eight occasions.

The events occurred in what appeared to be the couple's home and hotel rooms. Evans enjoyed teasing the Portuguese actress; however, the 25-year-old did not fall for his jokes in the last clip.

When the People's Choice Award winner tried to scare Baptista as she passed by the hallway, the "Warrior Nun" laughed and screamed, "I knew it!" The heartwarming video marked the first time the actor had shared anything about his new relationship on social media.

News of the duo's romance broke in November 2022 after paparazzi spotted the lovebirds enjoying PDA moments during their stroll through Central Park. Additionally, sources claimed the couple had been together for "over a year" while Evans was "happier than ever."
