Jonathan Majors continues to receive approval stamps from Meagan Good's loved ones! From family to friends, the DC actress's corner appears to have nothing but love for the embattled entertainer.
A few months after the "Loki" star was arrested for allegedly assaulting a woman in March, the Santa Barbara County native found love amid his controversial battle. Although the pair have yet to confirm their relationship, sources continue spreading news of their bond.
Days after supporting her boyfriend in the last hearing before his domestic violence trial begins, an insider claimed the 41-year-old's friends were not against her romance with the younger actor. However, they were shocked by the duo's union for one reason.
Meagan Good's Pals Are 'Stunned' By Her Relationship With Jonathan Majors After Religious-Centered Marriage
New reports about the rising power couple came from an informant close to the "Eve's Bayou" star. The source raved about the couple's blossoming romance to PEOPLE, revealing how the actress's friends felt about the alleged abuser.
According to the anonymous person, Good's confidants were unbiased about the affair. The entertainer's pals understood that her feelings for the embattled actor did not occur under the best circumstances. Nonetheless, they respected her choice.
"It's not the best situation, but they're letting her make her own decisions," the insider explained. Despite their non-judgemental stance, the source noted the "Cousin Skeeter" alum's friends were surprised she fell for a man like Majors.
After the Nickelodeon alum spent much of her life with her ex-husband DeVon Franklin, those around her thought she might go for someone similar to the Christian motivational speaker.
Although Majors' romance was shocking, the source stressed that Good's pals could relate to her wanting something different when a religious relationship did not work. The informant chimed:
"It's been a little stunning to see her go from [ex-husband DeVon Franklin], with faith at the center of their marriage, to Jon. But also understandable why she'd go for someone different after being with the same person for so long and not having it work out."
Good and Franklin ended their nine-year marriage in December 2021, while their separation was finalized in June 2022. Shedding light on her former marriage, the insider claimed the 41-year-old struggled after the split, saying: "Her divorce was very tough for her to process, and the decision to end the marriage is something both she and DeVon took very seriously."
Whatever scars the "Think Like A Man" actress had from her marriage appear to have healed, given her new relationship with Majors. Addressing the future of the pair's romance, the source noted things were heading in a good direction.
"She and Jonathan are taking it slow, but it's progressing and getting more serious," the informant revealed, adding that Good would not publicly spend time with the "the Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania" star if he was not worth her time.
"She wouldn't be out and about with him so publicly or be supporting him in his legal situation if the relationship didn't mean something to her," the insider claimed.
The 'Deception' Actress Shared A Cryptic Message After Appearing In Court With Majors
The "Shazam! Fury of the Gods" star's romance with the embattled entertainer no doubt appears serious, given her support for the 33-year-old. The Teen Choice Award nominee joined her beau at the final hearing before his domestic violence trial began in August.
The pair were seen holding hands as they walked in and out of the court, putting up a united front, but their appearance was met with intense backlash online.
Shortly after holding hands at the courthouse, the 41-year-old shared a motivational post about people being "wrong." Taking to her Instagram Story, the Los Angeles beauty reshared a quote from the famous wellness educator Alex Elle.
The powerful content focused on "peace" and a different way of achieving this state of tranquility. The words seemed to address Majors' ongoing assault controversies as the quote read: "Peace will sometimes look like letting people be wrong about you."
The public might have mixed opinions about the "Lovecraft Country" actor, but Good's loved ones trust the actress's decisions. Weeks earlier, her co-star Robert Ri'chard defended the couple's relationship after being queried about their romance.
The actress's former Nickelodeon co-star refuted the idea when asked if the 41-year-old had made a mistake by dating an embattled entertainer. The "One on One" star described his longtime pal as a "woman of God," stating she had a good eye for people.
As for Majors, Ri'chard insisted that "The Last Black Man in San Francisco" star be given a chance to clear his name in court before being ostracized from society.
