Actor Alec Baldwin was absolutely blown away by Mike Myers on the set of "Saturday Night Live."

The "30 Rock" actor has hosted the show 17 times and even won an Emmy for his portrayal of former U.S. President Donald Trump. However, it was a 1994 sketch featuring the late comedian Chris Farley that really blew the actor away.

Alec Baldwin Raves About Mike Myers' 'Unbelievable' Performance On 'Saturday Night Live'

On the latest episode of Dana Carvey and David Spade's podcast, Fly on the Wall, Alec Baldwin had nothing but positive things to say about Mike Myers and the 1994 "Japanese Game Show" sketch that featured Mike Myers as the host and the late comedian Chris Farley as an American tourist that did not speak the language.

Baldwin called Myers' performance "one of the deftest, most unbelievable things" he ever saw on the show. Although Myers does not actually speak Japanese, he phonetically memorized all of his lines so as to appear fluent.

Baldwin compared Mike Myers to Hollywood icon Laurent Oliver, saying that he was "so brilliant in the part." During the podcast, the three actors also had nothing but praise for Chris Farley.

"That's such an all-time sketch," Spade said.

"It is potent, man. Some sketches are like that," Carvey added. "You can't look away."

Alec Baldwin Has Never Been Shy Talking Up Other Actors

Earlier this month, the 65-year-old actor took to Instagram to share a clip of Robert Preston as he praised his skills as an actor. “Yesterday was the birthday of the great ROBERT PRESTON, not only one of my favorite actors but one who also taught me how to act,” he wrote in the caption. “He could do anything and brought so many special qualities to his performances, none more so than VICTOR VICTORIA. Here he is with the great @thelesleyannwarren in a scene from this movie you must see. Blake Edwards’ best film in my opinion. Julie Andrews is incandescent and Jim Garner, as always, a leading man for the ages.”

Lesley Ann Warren actually commented on the post, writing, “Ohhhh, I absolutely adored working with him, made it all so easy!! What a brilliant artist and a true gentleman! Thank you as always, for your kind words! Much love.” Alec replied, “This movie never ceases to kill me and Norma should have had a TV series. You’re so f***ing gorgeous and funny. But I’ve told you that before…” Lesley responded, “Never too many times! Lol! Love you and maybe we can be on a set together one day. Dream!” Alec responded, "Dream."

Although many in the industry would love to get a chance to work with the "Supercell" actor, there are some who would not, given what transpired in New Mexico on October 21, 2021. The actor was holding a gun on the set of the Western film "Rust" when it went off, striking cinematographer Halyna Hutchins and director Joel Souza. Hutchins was fatally wounded in the incident; Souza was hospitalized, but managed to recover and returned to finish directing the film based on a script he wrote from April to May 2023.

In January 2023, both Baldwin and "Rust" armorer Hannah Gutierrez-Reed were charged with two counts of involuntary manslaughter. However, in late April, the special prosecutors decided to drop the charges against Baldwin without prejudice, meaning that they can be reinstated at any time. In early June, special prosecutors stated in a court filing that they will make the decision as to whether or not they will charge him again within sixty days.

In late April, they said that they dismissed the charges because there was not enough time to review "new facts" ahead of the preliminary hearing on May 3. "Over the last few days and in preparation for the May 3, 2023, preliminary hearing, new facts were revealed that demand further investigation and forensic analysis in the case against Alexander ‘Alec’ Rae Baldwin, III. Consequently, we cannot proceed under the current time constraints and on the facts and evidence turned over by law enforcement in its existing form," the "Rust" prosecutors said in a statement.

"We therefore will be dismissing the involuntary manslaughter charges against Mr. Baldwin to conduct further investigation. This decision does not absolve Mr. Baldwin of criminal culpability and charges may be refiled," they added. "Our follow-up investigation will remain active and on-going."
