Lili Reinhart got emotional as she said farewell to the "Riverdale" set after the series finally wrapped up filming. The actress has recently shared multiple behind-the-scenes shots from the set with fans on her Instagram.

Reinhart had previously revealed that she wanted a "happy ending" for Betty, her character. The actress also shared that she was "sad" about bidding the show farewell as it's a "big chapter" of her life.

Lili Reinhart has finally said farewell to "Riverdale" after seven seasons and seven years on the show. The actress said goodbye with an emotional Instagram post, which featured a photo of her character, Betty, standing in front of a window.

In the caption, she wrote, "Goodbye, Riverdale. It's been an honor getting to grow up here." Reinhart has been a "Riverdale" cast member since its premiere in 2017, and now the show is ending its seventh season on August 23rd.

The "Look Both Ways" actress has been featured in multiple films, but her Betty Cooper character was her breakthrough film role. The series was loosely adapted from the famous Archie comics, with KJ Apa playing the role of Archie himself. Despite her success in other roles, Reinhart is attached to Betty, which is evident from her Instagram page.

She Shared Multiple BTS Photos

Since the show was confirmed to end in season 7, Reinhart has shared many behind-the-scenes shots from the "Riverdale" set. One post featured an image carousel from the set and included a violin emoji to mimic sad violin music. She captioned it, "The beginning of the end."

"Riverdale" fans got emotional when the other cast started posting photos of them showing saying their goodbyes to the show.

Actress Madelaine Petsch, who played Cheryl Blossom, shared a shot of her character sitting on the floor in the hallway of Riverdale High. She captioned it, "I walked down this hallway for the last time yesterday. I have so much to say and so many feelings but I can’t see my phone through my tears so right now I’ll just say thank you and goodbye Riverdale."

Camila Mendes who played Veronica Lodge also shared an emotional video clip on Instagram, featuring all the cast members from the acclaimed show dancing and being silly on set. Attached to the clip was the song "I Will Survive" by Gloria Gaynor, which reflected Mendes' caption that read, "Farewell Riverdale. We survived."

During a 2022 interview with Entertainment Tonight, Reinhart spoke about the show's ending. She said, per Us Weekly, "I would obviously like to see a happy ending for Betty, knowing that she will be OK — an optimistic, lighthearted note."

At the time, the "Chemical Hearts" star wasn't aware of the plot for Betty in the final season but said she just wanted her to be happy. She said, "And [that] you have an idea that things are gonna settle down for her in the best way."

Later that year, Reinhart spoke again to ET about being sad to leave "Riverdale" because it's "truly the end of an era of my life." She also called the series a "big chapter of my life" and said she'd "miss my cast so much."

The actress added, "It's the last time that we all will be collectively filming something together, so, I think we're just going into this season knowing that we're really going to try to cherish it."

Reinhart recently debuted a new tattoo on her Instagram Story. The "Hustlers" star revealed that the tattoo is dedicated to her late grandmother, who passed on in 2018. The IG post included a black and white shot of the tattoo of the acronym "SWAK" on her arm.

Reinhart shared in the caption that her "Nana used to write this on the outside of envelopes. 'Sealed with a kiss.'" She added, "Miss you, Nana. Glad I have your sweet handwriting with me forever." The actress also showed off her rose tattoo, which is lower on her forearm.
