'Riverdale' Concludes Filming After Seven Seasons, Cast Says Goodbye

The "Riverdale" cast is saying goodbye as the show has officially concluded its filming after seven seasons.

The seventh season of the CW show is currently airing, with the series finale set to release later this summer.

Now that filming has ended, the cast is taking to social media to share their goodbyes and some of their favorite moments from the show.

Vanessa Morgan was among the first to take to Instagram to say goodbye to the show. The Toni Topaaz actress shared a carousel of photos from her last day filming at Pop's — a popular diner location associated with the CW show. In the first image, Morgan is seen looking at her costar and close friend in real life, Madelaine Petsch, who portrays Cheryl Blossom in the show.

Morgan and Petsch are wearing outfits they wore in the show as they were filming but stop for a break to soak in the last moments inside Pops.

"Our last milkshake, our last scene at Pops ? cried our way through it," Morgan wrote alongside the photos. "We are currently filming our last week of Riverdale. Emotional is an understatement but more grateful to my Riverdale family than ever. I spent the last few days playing these characters- I hope you guys love this final season. ?Goodbye, Pop's, thanks for the memories. ???".

Fans did not want the show to end as many quickly took to the comments section to share their thoughts. "I don't think I'm mentally prepared to see this show go," and "this is a lot to take rn. Please, stop."

Another fan said, "thank you so much for all these years of toni. words can't express how grateful we are for your hard work to bring this character to life. Love you sm," while one user wrote, "VANESSA. PLEASE DON'T DO THIS TO ME. I CAN'T TAKE IT, MAN."

Other show fans took to the comments section to share things such as "You're an unbelievable talent?" and "we are going to miss you all in and around Locality and Jamestown. Great cast and a great crew. We love you all!"

One fan expressed, "I'm not ready for this to end; Riverdale is an incredible series, full of unforgettable moments.. ?"

KJ Apa, who plays Archie Andrews on the show, shared a selfie with Lili Reinhart, who plays Betty Cooper on the series, during their final moments on the "Riverdale" set.

"last 10 minutes on this set. @lilireinhart," Apa captioned the sweet post.

Fans took to the comments section to share their thoughts, writing things such as, "Barchie endgame ❤️❤️" and "Omg Barchie forever ?."

Another fan wrote, "Thank you, KJ, for bringing Archie to life. Forever thankful that you were Riverdale's leading man. ?."

The seventh and final season of "Riverdale" debuted on March 29 on CW. The series finale is set to air on August 23, 2023. Seasons one through six are currently streaming on Netflix.
