Earlier this week, Eilish bravely shared her struggles with reading hurtful comments about herself on social media, expressing her discomfort with the negative remarks. Reflecting on the impact of such comments, Eilish revealed the strength of her own opinions about her body, stating, "Dude, I don't even know. It's tough, man. Honestly, nobody can say anything about my body that I don't have a stronger opinion about."

The 21-year-old superstar also acknowledged the challenging nature of growing up in the era of intense online scrutiny. She said, "I also think that if I was younger, like if the internet talked about me the way they do now when I was like 11, I don't think I would be able to exist, to be honest."

While Eilish expressed a growing sense of self-acceptance and prioritized her own feelings over others', she candidly admitted that hurtful comments still have the power to affect her deeply. Eilish said, "I like myself more than I used to, and I'm more interested in how I feel than how they feel. But then also that might be a load of bulls**t because it still hurts my feelings like a son of a b***h."

Taking a significant step towards reclaiming control from internet trolls, Eilish recently shared that she has removed social media apps from her phone. In an episode of the "Conan O'Brien Needs A Friend" podcast, she revealed that she no longer looks at social media, emphasizing the significance of this decision for her.

"I deleted it all off my phone, which is such a huge deal for me. Cause dude, you didn't have the internet to grow up with," she explained.

While she expressed gratitude for not being consumed by screens as an "iPad baby," she acknowledged that the internet did play a role in her coming of age. "For me, it was such a big part of – not my childhood, I wasn't an iPad baby, thank god – but honestly, I feel like I grew up in the perfect time of the internet that it wasn't so internet-y, I had such a childhood, and I was doing stuff all the time," Eilish said.
