Indie Fashion Designer Shocked To See Her Designs In Pharrell Williams LV Show

Pharrell Williams debuted his first collection as the artistic director of LVHM. Before the excitement can settle, an indie designer is calling him out.

The musician-turned-fashion icon is being praised for his exciting collection that hit the runway in Paris late last week. Not only was it a star-studded event with biggies like Jay-Z and Beyonce, they don’t come outside for nothing!

Zendaya was front row. A$AP Rocky and Rihanna made an appearance, even Lenny Kravitz was there. The room was buzzing and in light of the monumental moment for Williams, he debuted a new song as well.

The crowd went wild when the sure-to-be hit was played. Music lovers like Beyonce jammed to the upbeat, pop hit. The song is titled “JOY” and features the Voices of Fire choir.

In the middle of all his “JOY”, Williams is now being challenged by Kellie Ford an indie designer who went viral in 2021. She turned a Louis Vuitton shopping bag into a purse! The look was so popular it had over 10 million views.

Ford hopped on TikTok to discuss Williams’s show and recognized her own design on a Paris runway. She spoke candidly with her followers mentioning that even celebs “hit me up” to praise her design.

So, she’s saying it was known well enough for this to happen. She even noted that Dapper Dan called her and praised her! “Fast forward to 2023, and under Pharrell’s creative direction for Louis Vuitton they dropped what looks like is the bag. Yeah, its crazy.”

She showed her design and Williams’s design to prove her point. She went to admit that she felt hopeless here, “what can we do” she said of other designers this has happened to.

The musician/designer is busy basking in the glory of this major event in his life and no official statement has been released about this alleged designer infringement. Plus, Williams’ show has more than purses.

It featured what he has labeled as “menswear” but has said he designs “clothes for humans”. He showed this by having folks like Rihanna, Kim Kardashian, and Zendaya wearing his designs. While some have clowned Kardashian for looking like a Minecraft character, the look is so her and there is no question it will fly off the racks.

The indie designer is getting some push back on her claims. Not everyone agrees that she did anything profound and even called her version of the purse different altogether. “This is a what came first “the chicken or the egg” cus it’s their shopping bag that she made into another bag so they also made it into bag ?,” claims one follower.

“Babe they took their bag and made it leather!!!!???? You laminated their bag! Also!!! This is THEIR BAG! The audacity,” another follower reminded her.

“This is reaching so hard, and I am not trying to diminish your idea but babe be so for real,” claims another. Not everyone was hating though, some felt she deserved some kind of shout out.

“@Pharrell make this right FOR THE CULTURE,” claims a follower. whereas someone told her that legal action could be taken against HER. “Nah. They could literally sue you for making a profit off them without authorization.”
