An emotional reunion! Quavo and Offset have finally put feud speculations to rest as they teamed up for a surprise tribute to their late friend, Takeoff.
The trio is famous for forming the Hip-hop group Migos, a beloved rap crew that took the music industry by storm. However, the youngest member, born Kirsnick Khari Ball, tragically died in November 2022.
Following his demise, the future of the surviving bandmates became unclear as the pair were rumored to be on bad terms. However, the entertainers put aside their perceived differences to honor the life and memory of the deceased artist.
Quavo & Offset Receive High Praise As Fans Celebrate The Duo's Collaboration At The 2023 BET Awards
Sunday, June 25, marked the annual celebration of black excellence in the entertainment industry. The 23rd BET Awards ceremony took place at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles with an incredible performance from the remaining Migos members.
Following a commercial break, the show returned to a raised curtain on the blackened-out stage. Viewers were left guessing what would come as two figures emerged, their identities concealed by the darkness.
The pair stood in front of an image of a space shuttle while a recording of Takeoff's part in the song "Hotel Lobby" began playing in the background, causing the audience to scream as they knew who the shadowed figures were.
When the Space Shuttle took off, the backdrop was replaced by an enlarged image of the late rapper raising a hand to the sky. This signaled the start of Quavo and Offset's performance as they jumped into one of Migos's most popular tracks, "Bad & Boujee."
As seen in the social media clips of their show-stopping reunion, the pair actively commemorated their collaboration by hyping up the crowd as they jumped, rapped, and grooved along to their song. Pyrotechnic effects of flame and light blazed on the stage while female backup dancers strutted their stuff in sexy all-black ensembles.
The passionate BET reunion marked the first time the surviving Migos members have performed together since Takeoff's death. Naturally, their teamwork touched the hearts of fans, with Offset's wife, Cardi B, leading the gushy tributes.
