Jennifer Lawrence has set the record straight on her stenchy kiss with actor Liam Hemsworth!

The 32-year-old actress opened up about the moments leading up to her infamous kiss with Hemsworth when they both appeared on the set of "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1." Although she owned up to eating strong odored food beforehand, she maintained that it was not a ploy to troll him.

Jennifer Lawrence Needs Liam Hemsworth To 'Get Over' Their Odor-Filled Kiss

Lawrence was more than a sight for sore eyes when she appeared in the unconventional First We Feast series, "Hot Ones," recently. Donning a navy outfit and a matching hair band, the "Don't Look Up" star powered through digesting some spicy wings while answering host Sean Evans' questions.

At some point during the 23-minute-long interaction, Evans asked about her infamous ginger-and-tuna-laden smooch with Hemsworth. Responding while laughing cheerfully, the Teen Choice Award winner said:

"It was just, like, what I was eating, and then we'd kiss! He should just, you know, get over it."

In case you missed it, Hemsworth had spoken about his challenge of kissing the Grammy award-winning actress when he appeared on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" in November 2014 to promote "The Hunger Games." He had disclosed to Fallon:

"Any time I had to kiss Jennifer was pretty uncomfortable. When you look at it on the outside it looks like a great picture. She’s one of my best friends. I love her. But if we had a kissing scene, she would make a point of eating garlic or tuna fish or something that was disgusting."

Despite the 33-year-old hunk's allegations, he left Lawrence with an impressive trait that has stayed with her for nearly ten years. The action star divulged to PEOPLE in 2014:

"I am a wimp about standing up for myself. [Liam] taught me how to stand up for myself. I would always be like, 'Please like me! Please like me!'"

"It's my biggest weakness – with negotiating, or even with people. Liam is always fair, he is always kind, he is always strong. He's teaching me to toughen up a little bit, and it's important. I need that," she added further.

Lawrence played the heroine, Katniss Everdeen, in the first four "Hunger Games" films — which are inspired by the eponymous young-adult dystopian book series by Suzanne Collins. The films took the world by storm, breaking box-office records from 2012 to 2015, with an earning of over $3 billion globally.

'House at the End of the Street' Star Took Back Her Words About The First Woman To Lead An Action Film

The Screen Actors Guild Awards recipient endeared herself to many more people when she quipped about men being the biggest drama queens she has seen on film sets. The Blast shared that the "X-Men" lead had used the opportunity of being at a round table discussion to say:

"I’ve worked with Bryan Singer. I’ve seen emotional men, I’ve seen the biggest hissy fits thrown on set."

Lawrence and Singer — who was recently bashed for having sex with boys below the age of consent — had worked together during "X-Men" as actress and director, respectively. Lawrence's banter comes after the director denied the allegations against him through his legal representative.

It also comes after the "American Hustle" actress backtracked on her claim that she was the first female to be chosen to lead an action film. Shortly after she made the declaration while talking to actress Viola Davis during Variety's Actors on Actors series last December, she asserted:

"I know that I am not the only woman who has ever led an action film. What I meant to emphasize was how good it feels. And I meant that with Viola — to blow past these old myths that you hear about … about the chatter that you would hear around that kind of thing. But it was my blunder, and it came out wrong. I had nerves talking to a living legend."
