Singer Adele seemingly has a fine eye for art, which contributed to her purchasing Sylvester Stallone's Beverly Park home!
The "Hello" hitmaker purchased the actor's home in January at $58 million, although it was initially listed at $80 million. Fifteen months later, the singer started adding her touches to the property.
While the property now belongs to the English Grammy winner, something drew her to the property. The "Rocky Balboa" actor recently revealed that Adele insisted on having the Rocky statue on the property.
Sylvester Stallone Opens Up About Details Concerning Adele Purchasing His House
In a recent interview with the Wall Street Journal, the "Creed" star opened up about the home purchase by Adele. According to him, the "Easy on Me" singer was attracted to a statue of his character Rocky from the 1976 American sports drama film.
The finely sculpted statute, which overlooks the outdoor pool area of the property, has its fists pointing to the sky. The 76-year-old actor intended to leave the property with the figurine. However, Adele had other plans. She insisted that she wanted it to stay with the property.
Recalling their agreement, Stallone explained, "She said, 'That's a no deal. That's going to blow the whole deal.' She wanted the statue." Even though the "Water Under The Bridge" hitmaker likes that particular statue, another statue didn't quite get her attention. The figure of a polo player on a horse on the opposite side of the garden didn't survive Adele's remodeling.
Despite the British singer's dislike for the "Tulsa King" actor's beloved Polo statue, he is more than impressed with her improvement to his former property. Addressing her ongoing remodeling, he said, "I like what she's doing. She's making it gorgeous."
The sixteen-time Grammy winner copped the property in January 2022 for $58 million, receiving a whopping $52 million discount from the original $110 million listing in a deal that was an "outright steal."
Stallone lived in the Beverly Park home for decades, since the 90s. However, the actor decided to put it on the market due to his decision to move to Florida. The luxurious mansion, which spans 3.6 acres, is endowed with several amenities.
Some amenities include six bedrooms, nine bathrooms, a gym, sauna, steam, infinity pool, cigar room, screening room, custom bar, art studio, and a 2-story guest house. Adele also has a second property in LA, located in the Hidden Valley area.
The 'Set Fire To The Rain' Singer Detailed Her Experience With Jock-Itch
While the "Rolling in the Deep" singer revamps her new property, she recently revealed her experience with a fungal infection. During a recent performance at her Las Vegas residency, she explained that she had been sweating intensely on stage as a result of both her energetic performances and her choice of attire, Spanx.
Getting candid with her fans, the 35-year-old singer said, "I sweat a lot, and it doesn't go anywhere, so I am just sitting in my sweat, so my doctor [diagnosed] me [with] jock itch." The "Someone Like You" songstress continued, "Jock itch, that sounds like I'm a big Nuggets fan. It looks like I'm a big athlete, right?"
Jock itch, sometimes known as tinea cruris, is a fungal infection mainly affecting the groin area. Its common symptoms include itching, redness, and a rash that can cause discomfort. Although the infection commonly affects men in sports activities, it can happen to anyone, regardless of gender.
Although Spanx is ideal for accentuating one's physical appearance, the material can sometimes harm the body. Due to its tight and restrictive nature, Spanx can absorb heat and moisture. This creates a breeding ground for fungal infections, which can be pretty fast and restrictive.
The "Set Fire To The Rain" hitmaker added that she had gone to the doctor after discovering the infection, adding that her doctors had prescribed an ointment to cure the condition. The singer then joked that she had to "squirt on" the medication herself.
"I don't know why the f**k I just told you that!" she admitted before saying that she was confident the press would address her condition and write, "Adele's got body acne!"
