OnlyFans Star Lucy Banks Went Viral On TikTok
Banks recently became the main character on TikTok after sharing a harmless video on the social media platform, joking about "school dads." The seven seconds clip, which featured the OnlyFans star in her car, had a message in it that read, "Guess why I'm the favourite mum amongst the school dads."
After posting the video to her audience of 43.7k followers, it quickly blew up and attracted more attention than Banks could have bargained for.
Speaking on the viral TikTok in a press release obtained by The Blast, Banks said, "The video wasn't meant to be serious; I'm simply a content creator aiming for views. It's astonishing how a simple caption can elicit thousands of comments."
She added, "Coincidentally, when the comments started flooding in, I was unexpectedly hospitalized for an unrelated matter. It was an incredibly distressing experience to be in the hospital, trying to communicate with my family while simultaneously viewing a constant stream of notifications filled with hurtful messages questioning my character."
Lucy Banks Speaks Out Against Online Bullying
Banks' viral "school dads" clip currently has 1.7 million views, 41.7k likes, and 3.4k comments. It reportedly went beyond her usual male-dominated fan following and reached a new audience of women between the ages of 25 and 54. This new audience brought along with it a torrent of hateful comments aimed at Banks.
Most of the vitriolic comments took aim at the OnlyFans star's appearance, work, and parenting skills. Banks was also trolled on her other posts with similar comments attacking her physical features, which has caused her to have a deeply uncomfortable experience on the app.
While speaking on the hate she's been receiving, Banks said, "This incident highlights the pervasive issue of online bullying and the detrimental impact it can have on people's mental well-being."
She added, "But, as the saying goes, their bitter behavior says more about them than it does about me." Banks plans to keep making content for her followers regardless of the hate she has received on the social media platform.
Lucy Banks' OnlyFans Journey
According to PerthNow, Banks revealed that she struggled to make ends meet after leaving her marriage with her children and had only $60. The mother of two said she reached out to a friend who was doing OnlyFans, to learn more about the adult platform
"I had been working in the corporate banking industry doing really long hours and I just needed to find something where I could be there for my kids when they needed me, Banks said. "So I asked a girlfriend who was doing OnlyFans if it was worth the hype."
After doing a little more digging, Banks learned there was more to the platform and that it "was not always sexual" service that brought in the big bucks.
She Sells The 'Girlfriend Experience'
Although the mother of two is a top Australian creator on OnlyFans, Banks' content is less risqué than some would expect. Per PerthNow, she revealed that she learned other ways to make money on the platform that wasn't overtly sexual.
Banks now specializes in delivering what is called the "girlfriend experience." This trend involves men paying women to act like their lovers or girlfriends.
"I've got subscribers who message me good morning, every single day, and then I'll message them back, tell them what I had for breakfast." Banks stated. "It's like talking to your girlfriend."
She noted that she always makes sure to learn important details about her OF subscribers, like their birthdays and dogs' names, and also tries to know "what their day-to-day life is like."
"It's not always sexual and sending pornos and stuff," Banks noted.
