Smith has updated her Instagram followers since being admitted into Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in early June.

"This is me chiming in #Nudez by Amanza. Keep it accurate, 100 percent authentic, bare to the bones, with no fluff or filters. It's 3 a.m. I can't sleep because I'm in massive pain," she said in her video update.

"Yesterday and today were tough. I was in and out of consciousness because I was in that much pain and had many drugs going through my body. I even had to have a blood transfusion yesterday."

She closed her video by reminding everyone she was "okay."

The caption for her video explains why she tells it like it is in her frequent updates.

"As I said, I would be posting a little unedited, unfiltered, unsolicited raw, bare-bones truthful Content once in a while and titling it #Nudez. I didn't think it would be updated about my health," her caption begins.

"I had the idea before this happened, but here we are, so here you go. This is me five minutes ago, and this is the update for everybody on how I am."

Many of her followers dropped into the comment section to leave their good wishes for the reality star as she recovers from surgery.

"Sending you all the love. You are strong, and you've got this sending you healing vibes ❤️❤️," one follower wrote. Another added, "You are Amanza, the powerful woman who will be up and about in no time ❤️."

After being hospitalized for over a week, Smith shared what was happening with her social media followers.

"Over a month ago, and all of this started, I thought that I had a bulging disk or a slipped disc or something wrong with my lower back that was regular. I lay in pain in my house for several days. I cried. I took Tylenol. I went to urgent care. I didn't know what it was, but after over a month of excruciating pain, I finally got some answers. I got an MRI and a CT scan and was told that I must go to Cedar Sinai," her caption began.

She continued to explain that she arrived at the hospital thinking she would get another scan and be sent home. But that's not what happened. Instead, she was admitted.

"Come to find out, I had an infection in my blood that had caused a great deal of infection to be spread to the bones of my spine, and it's called osteomyelitis," she continued.

"Here I am, day ten, and I'm making this message a bit quickly because I'm about to go into surgery to have portions of the infection removed from my spine that weren't getting any better by the antibiotics that I've been getting for ten days now every four hours intravenously."

After her first surgery, a second became necessary.

"I'll be in for my second surgery in the next few hours. Part of my spine has completely deteriorated due to the infection. I'll be getting new vertebrae and a couple of screws and rods to replace what has been eaten away from the bacteria," she wrote in an Instagram caption.

"This is my short caption version of the entire explanation, but it's enough to let you all know the gist. I am in good spirits and positive that I will come out ? percent after healing ❤️‍? in 3/4 months."
