According to a bystander who was visiting Disneyland Park, a Guest was arrested at Big Thunder Mountain, an attraction located inside Frontierland at the Anaheim theme park.

The incident happened on Saturday evening. A massive security presence was spotted across from Fantasyland, another section inside the Park, and walking towards Frontierland. The bystander, who had a Lightning Lane pass for Big Thunder Mountain, was approaching the attraction when they stopped near the restroom area.

While they stopped, they got a notification on their phones that notified them that their Lightning Lane for Big Thunder Mountain was canceled, and, instead, they were issued a multi-experience pass, meaning they could use their Lightning Lane at any other attraction. This typically occurs when a ride breaks down and experiences technical difficulties, but this time, it seems it was shut down due to an arrest as the bystander overheard someone talking about a Guest who was just arrested at the ride and that is why the attraction had to shut down.

At this time, a police report or an arrest report has yet to be released.

And Edward Stephenson, 30, of Brandon, Florida, was arrested at Disney Springs after making “derogatory comments” towards Disney Cast Members, yelling at children, and then threatening Orange County sheriff’s deputies.

The arrest report said he was “belligerent and cursing at/in front of children.” He made inappropriate comments toward juveniles at the Once Upon a Toy shop. Disney security got involved and asked Stephenson to leave the premise, but that is when the 30-year-old made “derogatory comments” toward the workers, per the police report.
