The new Grimace shake at McDonald's has people talking. So many are excited to try it and others have and wondered what flavor it actually is. TikToker Jordan the Stallion to the rescue!

With many fast food secrets to share, Jordan Howlett, otherwise known to his 10 million TikTok and 2.5 million Instagram followers as Jordan the Stallion, of course had something to spill about the purple shake.

"As president of the Fast Food Secrets Club, people have been asking me to figure out what flavor the Grimace milkshake is at McDonald's," he began is informational video.

"I genuinely, genuinely, do not wanna try this milkshake. It looks a little off. It's purple. I really don't like the idea of a purple milkshake from McDonald's. However, as your president, I will give it a taste test."

He then said that he does know what flavor the milkshake is and explained it a bit deeper before doing his own little taste test.

"People think that it's just vanilla flavor, because when they taste it, they taste vanilla," he continued. "However, other people taste berry. Now technically, it is both and wanna know why? It's because of the fries."

Howlett explained that McDonald's has sensory scientists, whose "whole job is to figure out how to enhance or suppress flavors due to the combinations."

If you have some fries before tasting the shake, the flavor will be more berry, "because the salt suppresses more of the bitter tastebuds in your mouth before tasting it." If you have the shake without having fries first, vanilla will more than likely be the flavor you taste, according to Howlett's information.

Howlett then tried out his theory with a Grimace shake taste test - without the fries first and then with the fries.

Without having any fries first, the social media creator said, "It's more of a vanilla flavor." Then he had a few fries and then a sip of the purple shake and said, "More berry flavored."

Many of Howlett's followers on both TikTok and Instagram shared their thoughts about the new milkshake in the comment section of his video.

"It tastes purple. That's the best I could get," one follower wrote on TikTok. "I was told 'official' flavor was mixed berry. Now that you mention it here, I did taste berries and vanilla. I want another, it was good," wrote another.

One TikTok follower wasn't sure if any of this is the truth or just made up but enjoys Howlett's take. "I can’t tell if you’re serious or just making stuff up but I’m here for it ?."

One Instagram follower wanted to know if there's a slight hack to the taste by asking, "So if you add a dash of salt to it would you achieve that berry taste w/o the fry???‍♀️" and another jokingly asked, "Mr. President the real question still remains, where can you find a McDonalds with an operating milkshake machine? I think that would be the greatest fast food secret of all time lol."
