How Long Will The New Tiana Ride Be At Disney Parks?

Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida, and Disneyland in Anaheim, California, recently closed their versions of the iconic Splash Mountain ride to make way for a new attraction, Tiana's Bayou Adventure, which will be themed off of the 2009 animated movie, "The Princess and the Frog."

Disney Parks previously reported that the new ride would pick up where the beloved 2009 film left off, seeing how Tiana's life is after the success of her restaurant debut and marrying Prince Naveen.

Now, we know how long the new ride length will be.

Disney announced at a recent media event that since Tiana's Bayou Adventure is replacing Splash Mountain, and the new attraction is using much of the same ride track, Guests could expect the ride time to be very similar to what Splash Mountain was, which was about 11 or 12 minutes.

Meaning, despite a new storyline, a new ride name, new characters, and new scenery, the ride track itself is expected to be the same, meaning the ride length will be as well.

Regarding the new storyline, Disney confirmed that the ride would follow Tiana after she purchased the salt mine and the surrounding areas from which the salt dome operated. Fans will also see beloved characters from the film, including Tiana's mother, Eudora, her husband, Prince Naveen, and Louis, the trumpet-playing alligator, who all helped Tiana revive the old salt mine and the surrounding land, allowing them to grow fresh new ingredients such as vegetables, herbs, and spices for her recipes.

Bruno Campos will again provide his voice for Prince Naveen, Michael Leon Wooley as Louis, and Anika Noni Rose as Princess Tiana.

Tiana wants to throw a big Mardi Gras party as a thank you to her family and friends and the entire community for their support. Unfortunately, things do not go as planned, so Tiana invites the Guests to meet at Tiana's Foods instead to help her search for the missing ingredient.

Disney Parks Blog recently revealed that beignets will be part of the attraction as "the alluring scent of beignets being prepared for the party will be part of the attraction queue!"

Disney recently announced that music legends and New Orleans natives PJ Morton and Terence Blanchard would produce the music for Tiana's Bayou Adventure.

"We're thrilled to announce that we are collaborating with award-winning artists PJ Morton and Terence Blanchard on the music guests will hear as part of this adventure," Disney announced. "Both natives of New Orleans, PJ, and Terence, will help us score a lyrical love letter to the region that first inspired our endeavor with Princess Tiana."

The company also revealed that "a new original song composed by PJ Morton" and "new renditions of fan favorite music from the Walt Disney Animation Studios hit film, 'The Princess and the Frog'" will be coming to the attraction.

The new ride, Tiana's Bayou Adventure, will open at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida and Disneyland Resort in California sometime in 2024.
